Just got home from the gym. I walked my usual mile and biked my 15 min, did 6 min on the hand bike (for my shoulder/arm), but then I tried a couple other machines I used to do and I've lost so much strength, could hardly do them. Will have to work up on my strength again as my shoulder/arm improves.:( But I'm thankful I can still do what I do..as I know many people my age can't even do that.
The weather is so nice now! Just perfect. We enjoyed playing outside with the gc yesterday. I got my exercise playing catch esp with the oldest...that ball went all over and I welcomed every bending and stretching motion as I knew I needed it. :D And it barely hurt so knew it was ok. I was afraid I'd gain a lot from last nights meal but was only up .2# from yesterday. I was already up a bit yesterday but know it's the normal fluctuation (so far, but I have to watch it!). I'm getting so I prefer to eat like this program says even though it is still hard for me to figure out how to do it. I don't like the way my hair looks and we have the mystery theater dinner to go to Monday night, so thinking about getting it cut or at least shaped up a bit even though it's been less than four weeks since my last haircut. I never know what to do with my hair! (sigh) Today's meals so far breakfast about 3/4 serv oatmeal with 1 T flaxmeal, splenda (don't like it but I have a lot on hand and am trying to use it up), and 2 T nf milk 1 sl Ezekial bread toast with 1 t Smart Balance lunch green tea smoothie afternoon snack - totally off-plan LOL child's size cone later sunflower seeds dinner - off plan due to sugar in the mocha mix but otherwise good I think. Chinese beef and rice - I ate 1/2 serv and abt 1/3 cup rice, about 1/4 t. coconut oil. Included veggies. pb mocha with 1 t pb, added fiber and protein - I don't like the protein in it but it is more filling. |
Happy Weekend everyone. a beautiful day here. all the snow is gone from my deck and i sat in the sun reading today after we got back from town. we went to wallmart and then over to the kenai river flats to watch the migrating birds. the snow geese and sandhill cranes stop every year on their way north. they where noisy and abundent and fun to watch. on the way home we stopped and McD's for lunch as i wanted to try the new wrap sand i saw advertised on tv. i had the chix bacon ranch and it was huge and very yummy. im a sucker for tv commercials where food is involved. nothing planned for the weekend but sure i can find lots to keep me busy. hope your weekend is fun too. rosey

Good morning GG's,
Busy Bobbi :) Rosey ~ I have seen those McDonalds commercials for the wraps and have been wanting to try one ~ I thought they looked pretty big. Sorry no more time ~ off to work. Hope you all have a nice weekend. |
We are expecting our son and his gf to be here today. Dh went to the men's breakfast at church very early this am but I slept in until almost nine. I have cleaned the bathrooms, made the bed and taken out the trash but that's about it. Had to stop for breakfast and I need to do my PT exercise. It's another beautiful day. :carrot:
Rosey - The bird watching sounds fun. We have had a lot of birds this spring around the bird feeders, they and the squirrels love the seed dh puts out. Sometimes it almost looks like the squirrels are chasing the birds. I don't remember seeing them do that before. We currently have three squirrels, a new generation (I think) and one looks pretty young. My meals so far: breakfast My pb mocha -with added protein strawberries lunch at Red Lobster - So heavy, I couldn't eat much, thank goodness! VERY off-plan! garden salad - removed croutons and had only used about 1 t Ranch dressing 1/3 salmon filet maybe 1 cup linguini alfredo 2 cheese biscuits dinner/supper my pb mocha with added protein 1/2 banana |
Good evening GG's,
Kind of a nice quiet evening here. Sara and the kids went to visit a friend. Lately, I feel like maybe I am "getting it" finally and eating more like a normal person. I used to think that a "normal" person could eat as much of and what ever and when ever they wanted to. But now I think that a "normal" person is one who can do that, but knows when to stop ~ maybe eating things they like, but in smaller amounts and not until they are stuffed. Sometimes I succeed, and sometimes a things taste so good and that little "bad" voice in my head says ~ ohhhh ~ that tastes so good ~ you can have some more. Then I end up sorry I listened to it ~ because I feel yucky. Every time I don't listen though ~ is one less time that I did the wrong thing. :carrot: One day down ~ two more to go. This year is the year I have to renew my nursing license ~ I've gotta do 20 hours of continuing education. So, on my days off, I've gotta get on the ball and hopefully get that out of the way, so that I'm not down to the last minute ~ scrambling to get it done and missing out on fun stuff because I procrastinated. Last time ~ my procrastination caused me to miss a family trip to the beach. Grrrr. Hoping I do a better job this time. Bed time soon ~ hope you all are having a nice weekend. Take care |

Good morning ladies
Has a pretty fun weekend. Friday night we had family and friends over for a crawfish boil. Saturday morning dh and I went fishing. We caught 104 bream. I had a blast. But I did get a sunburn. Ouch. Shoulda put sunscreen. Next time I will. Sunday dh and I went to the camp and cut grass and cleaned it. I grabbed all the bedding and l will wash all that this week. We cooked supper when we got back for the ds's and their gf's. I went to bed at 9 very tired. This weekend I think we have to start trenching ds lot for electrical and water lines. Hello to y'all. Don't have any time this morning for personals. Maybe later. Hugs Cajun |
Yesterday was a very busy day as we were helping family move. We ate Subway and then while driving I found a couple (1 snack size, 1 large!) candy bars and ate them probably more just cause they were there than anything. :( But I didn't eat much last night so my calories were ok and my weight dropped slightly probably partly due to the exercise I got too going up and down stairs. Just wasn't a very healthy eating day. I was really tired by the time I got to bed and my left leg ached all night even with med. I didn't go to the gym this morning but did go to PT and feel better now. Tonight we are going to the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater and I'm looking forward to that.

Off today yippee :carrot::carrot: Sunshine outside, sunshine inside (Maddie) Can't get much better than that. Hope you are having a good day. |
Good Hola....
What will happen to our thread tomorrow? Bobbi - will you keep it going? Someone else taking it over? The second onslaught of this crud is worse than the first, and the boss lady sent me home early. After three days in bed (SSM), I'm not germy anymore, I'd guess, but I still sound terrible. PLEASE tell me I won't have a third or fourth onslaught of this stuff! It's bad, bad! I was just feeling good after the last one, and blammo! I'm downright pathetic!! We're expecting 2-5" tomorrow, and I'm tired of that, too! However, I haven't fertilized the lawn or turned on the sprinklers yet, and the lawn looks great! Weird weather! No news. Hope you're all well... Later, Lovelies! |
Not to worry, K3 will post it.
Bruce and I want to die, our backs hurt, our muscles ache, we drop into bed every night. I start my bedtime prayers and never finish them. We had a bull dozer smash in the garage, cement pad, sidewalk and old cement steps going up the back door today. Fun to watch! We're on our 3rd large dumpster, hopefully all the old windows will fit in it. We have all new windows ordered, another guy will start on the new garage next week. Bruce put in the new kitchen floor today, will finish up on that tomorrow. Tomorrow will be the first day I'll stay home and start packing. I have my grandson and two brothers coming over Thursday with pickups and a trailer to start hauling in boxed basement stuff. We're hiring movers to do all the big stuff. TaTa |
