Question about Premarin
 

I am 59 years old. Just started taking premarin again. I seem to be gaining weight here lately. Has anyone here had the same issues with this medication? I'm eating right. Thanks for any input! :)

Just saw this. I was on Premarin for about 18 years ...from early-40s to 60 when I weaned myself off it. I gained a lot of weight during that time but am not sure it was due to the Premarin, some of it might have been...hormones (like those in birth control pills) are known to cause weight increase. All I know is that after I went off Premarin (at age 60), I began to have terrible hot flashes! I used OTC supplements up until about two years ago and they helped some but I decided to go off them too and I am having much less problem with them now, but I recently turned 70 and I do still have them. I wonder sometimes if my being on Premarin so long cause them to last longer. :?: Good luck!
