Bobbi- we have bought and sold our rvs thers. In fact, we just sold the last one we bought using craigslist. and that was a $16,000 sale. On something like that though we always get a certified check or cash. But I don't use my email address there on the ad-- I always put it in annonymously. That way any email comes through craigslist and not my email. I also have in the ad to put say " 2005 Keystone Challenger" in the subject line of their email to me or I will delete the email without opening. Anything, else you get you pretty much know it is spam! Most of the time I do put my phone number in the ad on these type items. Haven't had any toruble ever. Mostly if you get an email that says-- I am interested in your item on craigslist send me your number and I want it---- trash it!

Hope that helps.

Bobbi, I adore craigslist – I’ve sold and bought from it. The rule of thumb is to never believe something when an offer is too good to be true. No one just give money away.

Rie, sounds like you had a great time at the fair. Enjoy your relax day. I listened to the Packers get walloped on Thursday night. It was ugly. But since its meaningless, I shall not worry too early.

Donna, DH and I were listening to the voicemail link and I had tears running down my face. That was so awesome. A car full of Golden Girls. Enjoy your lovely time in CO.

Mary, enjoy your 50th anniversary. That’s just wonderful. Have a great time at the BBQ.

Cajun, my mom’s b-day was yesterday too. She turned 83. I guess if we’re GG’s our mothers are really GGs.

Carol Sue, hope you feel better after the fall.

We’ve had a nice day. I even talked to my parents twice. That means my father twice and I didn’t go bonkers. Yay! A reason to splash into the pool. DH and I went for a wonderful bike ride the morning before the smoke and heat started. I posted the link to the route on the Challenge thread. I use a cool iPhone program that maps the route and gives all the data about the ride. It links to Google Maps and if you use the satellite view, you can zoom in on my house and see the pool I’m gonna go splash in. Actually, no splashing as Blizzie starts to howl and cry because she can’t play in the pool. So I’ll stealthily get into the pool and play quietly. Then it’s beauty day. Time to remove the hair from my legs, pits and brow. I’m so thankful that task is only every two weeks.

[Quote] Healthyginger ..
Emaline: speaking of exercise. I do mine from a chair-or bed even. One is the stretching part of Stronger Seniors with Anne Pringle Burnell stretch and strength DVD. I got mine from Amazon. Even easier is Dr, Chens Tai Chi Gongfa 001 workout for wheelchair people level 1. On Anne's she warns when a part might hurt back or hips or knees and you sit that part out. It's amazing how just doing your arms can make you feel better burn calories...[Quote]

Thanks for that Healthyginger, I do have a DVD for armchair workout which I have tried several times. Unfortunately any sort of exercise really makes my back pain worse and even anything with arm movements make my arms much worse...so no exercise is okay for me.
Thanks for the advice anyway.

Good Morning GG's,

I did have a busy, fun weekend. Went to DGS's football scrimmage in the morning and DGD's ice cream social for the reading club in the afternoon. Lots of shopping and cleaning. A little reading.

Donna, I want to read Girl Gone. I have it on my list. Glad to hear an endorsement. I thought the clip was hilarious. Can you just imagine?

Lynn, sorry to hear that your DD is having a hard time with the thyroid medication. Synthroid? I remember when we gave people a drop of iodine in a glass of water. Really ages me, huh?

Donna, Poor Blizzie. Lots of hugs and kisses. But i'm sure she is already getting those . Even a cast as classy as the one she got doesn't make it feel any better. How long does she have to wear this one? I hope she gets it off in time to enjoy the pool.

Rie, I've had an "indian burger" too. Buffalo meat on the fry bread. I thought it was really good, and buffalo meat is really lean. Why did they take you off Ibuprofen? I know I sure depend on it to make it through the day.

Mary, Happy Anniversary. I have one comming up soon too, the 31'st. Only 46 years for me.

Carol Sue, Sorry about the fall. Hope you are feeling better.

Bobbi, I've never sold anything on Craigs list, but my DS and DIL does all the time. They have had great luck so far, but you always have to be careful. Good call on your part.

Gayle, Our kids are always our kids, even when they have problems. Maybe especially when they have problems. all we can do is love them and help where we can.

Rosie, Do the other dogs miss the grand dogs? Not sure mine would, but he's getting too old to put up with young pups.

Isabella, HI to you too. Enjoy your trip.

Enjoy your day,

Freda

Donna - I just signed up for Girl Gone on the library website of e-books. I am number 88 on the waiting list, so by the time I get it I will have forgotten who recommended it. LOL Luckily I have so much other stuff to read while I'm waiting. I am currently reading 50 Shades of Gray and have the next two in the series on my waiting list. So far I haven't formed an opinion. I like the story line. S&M is not my thing at all, but if the actual story is good I can overlook the parts I don't like.

Gayle - I am sorry to hear about your DD. I have come to believe that most families have these situations to some degree. My brother could do no wrong and I could do no right in my mother's eyes. From what I heard, she bragged about me to others, but I never heard any of these good comments. Part of me thanks God that my mother didn't live long enough to see how my brother's life actually ended up.

Marie - I read the directions and warnings on everything! My DH does not read the directions on anything until he gets in a bind, then I have to read the directions to get him straightened out. He said that directions are for people who don't know how to do anything. His words, not mine! LOL
My thinking was that since the psoriasis was in remission I was not using the epilator over actual patches of psoriasis. It might have been what reactivated the psoriasis, but since they don't really know what causes it, it's hard to tell.

Cajun - I hope your son is safe. That is such a scary situation!

Good Morning, All..
Freda - I hope you and CarolSue both enjoy Girl Gone. It was different; I liked it enough to reserve her other two books!

CarolSue - I read 50 Shades of Gray and thought it was poorly written trash. However, Rosey said that the actual story got better through the other two books... I have book #2 but haven't had the interest to start reading it. If I get 1) desperate or 2) hear more motivating comments, I might get to it!

Nothing to report. Life is status quo, which is always good (in my life, anyway ) Hope you all have a lovely Monday!

Later, Lovelies!

Good morning ladies,
Never thought I would be glad to return to work today but I am. Yesterday after we went to church it was raining and dh took a nap all afternoon. I was so bored. Ds girlfriend came to visit and that helped me and her both. We are lonesome for ds. I think it's just that he's so far from home. We wood burned some signs for our hunting camp and had some good laughs. I cooked supper while we did the signs and she stayed for supper. She has been with ds for a little over 2 years and we just adore her. I hope she is the one. I think she will be. I think they both cried when ds left. She just finished her college so she is job hunting. Today I jogged again after taking off a week with my ankle. It went well.

Isabella~ enjoy your trip. Be safe!

Marie~ we were laughing at my mom because the candle we put on her cake were the #'s 81. Backwards it was 18. She thanked all of us for her 18 th party. She's such a sweetheart.

Karen31~ I would love to have those temps. We are still baking here.

Carol sue~hope you are ok after your fall. Glad it wasn't your bad knee.

Maryea~ I'm sure you are looking forward to your anniversary party. Have fun. I I love our mom and dads picture they took. They had a cake, toast, 1st dance ect..... They were giggling like two young kids. My dad passed away this year but what great memories we have.

Rie~ since I've been dieting hamburgers are what I miss the most. That native burger sounded yummy.

Bobbi~ did you enjoy your reunion? It's always nice seeing family member that you don't see often other than at a funeral.

Ginger~ congrats on another loss. You are on a roll! Wow! Awesome!

Lynn~ praying for your dd.

Rosy~ my sister has a tiny peekapoo and we are all attached to that little mess. We would all be sad if something happened to him. I cAn understand you missing them.

Gayle~I'm glad you like your new doctor. I grew up with a grandmother playing favorites. It's not easy being pushed away all the time and watch them praise your cousins. I always said I would never do that with my children and I haven't. Birthdays and christmas are equal. They each have their own personalitys and are spoiled in each their own way. Lol

Karen fl~ did you get the stink out of your house? Cooking cabbage to freeze is bad Also. Lol

Dee~ good luck with your surgery on the 31st. Hope all goes well.

Freda~ sounds like you had a great time with your grandchildren. I don't have any but I hear they are wonderful fun.

Hello to all I missed.

Hugs
Cajun

Freda, Blizzie's next appt is in 2 weeks. Hopefully all will be well then Sounds like you had a great weekend!

Carol Sue, I take it your DH is a know it all. I just don't read warnings. And I tend not to read manuals unless I've never used a product before.

Donna, everyone's thoughts here made me not want to read the Gray series. I'm not sure I could ignore the garbage for the underlying story.

Cajun, loved your mom decided she was 18!

Nothing much here to report. Back at work and it's a lovely day out. The smoke is starting to come back but it is nice so far. Apparently there is another fire directly south now. That's one on each side. Picture a baseball diamond and we're the pitcher's mound. The closest fire is about 65 miles away the farthest about 120. I'd hoped the rain we got on Saturday would have put more of them out. For now, breathing is easy.

I'm pooped, don't want to work this hard anymore. Wish the house would sell. After moving, I don't want to look at another tomato plant or any other vegetable or fruit. I going to the farmers market when I want fresh.
Guess you know what kind of a mood I'm in.
Thanks for all the advice on Craig's list, I'm not quite so naive anymore.

Hi Goldens,

Ds and dgs Shawn are at his kindergarten meeting tonight. He starts school on Wed. How the **** did that happen? LOL He sure is excited. Today was a busy day at work after being gone but I made it through.

Freda, yup, you know what I mean about the burgers.... Yum. My PCP took me off the ibuprofen because my endoscopy showed that my stomach is so inflamed. It is harder than I thought. Your weekend sounds lovely.

Bobbi, yes, just one tomato plant and a couple cucumbers is perfect for me. I have no desire to to the large garden thing. Get some rest.

Marie, thinking good thoughts for Blizzie. I read the Gray series because I could read them fast and it was the subject of so much conversation. Either way, it was ok but I have read many better books. I am enjoying all the parodies.

Carol, I don't read manuals unless I can't figure it out on my own... However, I always stop and ask for directions.

Cajun, I am so glad that you get along with ds girlfriend. That is a comfort.

Rosey, enjoy the rainy day and gork some for me, ok?

Lynn, I hope things are getting better.

Isabella, enjoy the trip and be safe. I am curious to know where you are off to?

Dee, I hope things are going well.

Gayle, no matter what, you are a loving mom. Too bad we can't control the behavior of others, right?

Donna, if the handsome billionaire notices.... will you share???

Happy Anniversary Mary!!!!!

Emaline, we lose weight by creating a calorie deficit. You don't need to exercise to be successful.

Hello to anyone that I missed.

Rie - the cartoon was in reference to 50 Shades of Gray.... the "hero" is a billionaire who is besotted with his little tartlet-in-training who chews her bottom lip... and it causes him to do things to her. And therein lies the entire plot of book 1.

Good night, all... Sleep well!

Good morning ladies.
I am glad to be back and posting again.
i am one of those holdouts who won't read "Fifty shades Gray"
i am 52. what the heck do I need bondage porn for? I would rather read something that elevates my soul.
That and I have already read my fair share of pornographic novels.LOL.

Donna - I understand what you're saying about 50 Shades of Grey. You are not alone in your opinion. There a lot of negative reviews. I loved the book and see it completely different. If you don't mind, I am going to send you a PM to give my opinion so as not to give anything away to someone who might want to read it in the future.
