This is NOT a Challenge - it is a place for us to record our daily behaviors (behaviours) toward being personally responsible for our EFFORTS. We cannot control our OUTCOMES - weight - however, we can control our EFFORTS - daily actions aimed at losing/maintaining weight.

Goals for May:
*Walk or Jog 5K/Bike 5K/45 Counter Push-ups/5+ Real Push-ups: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday
*Circuit training: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (at least 2x)
*Portion size and calorie counting (1200-1400 calories per day)
*No junky snacks
*Eat sufficient food not to be hungry and at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day
*Take a multi-vitamin each day
*Lose 4 or 5 pounds by end of May

I did better in April. Ended at 162 which means I've lost 8 lbs since first of year. Slow but getting there. This month I will track the same things: weight, calories, carb servings and bs. Ate out today and ate way too much of calories AND carbs so expect weight to be high tomorrow.
5/1/09 162, bs high, 40 min cardio, lunch out, had company and didn't track calories, estimated carbs. Will see. BS very good at end of day.
5/2/09 163.5! Results of last two days eating out. bs high. bad eating day est 1995 calories and 16 carb servings! BS good this afternoon. Mall walking.
5/3/09 162, bs high, didn't track today, too busy getting ready for a trip and will probably not be online until 5/11.
5/12/09 162 just got home yesterday and was happy to see I didn't gain. we ate out a lot but also walked a lot. Thought I'd do better at home but this evening I ate too much - stop tracking but know I was well over my limits on both calories and carbs. BS before lunch was high however, I did eat lunch a little early. No exercise today but back to gym tomorrow.
5/13/09 163, 30 min stretch & Breathe class, about 8 min. mod fast walking, and 40 min cardio class. bs high in am but great tonight. 1407 calories and 14 carb servings.
5/14/09 162, bs high, lost track of calories but know over on everything!
5/15/09 163.5! 40 min cardio circuit class, bs great, 1157 calories, 13 carb servings.
5/16/09 162, 15 min. exercise, ate dinner out at a Chinese buffet! Not good...I estimate 1678 and 15 carb servings (even though I ate no rice!), but it may have been more.
5/17/09 161.5, bs a little bit high,did well until evening but then ate too much! lost track of calories and carbs.
5/18/09 163, bs high, 30 min stretch, walked about 1/2 mile, and 40 min cardio class. Another bad eating day!
5/19/09 163.5! bs good, 1479 calories, 14 carb servings.
5/20/09 162.5, 30 min stretch & breathe, 40 min cardio classes. bs good, 1697 calories, 9 carb servings. ETA: Ate more after posting. Way too many calories and carbs today!

5/24/09 161, bs high but before lunch it was great, not a good eating day..approx 1986 calories and 18 carb servings!
5/25/09 161.5, bs very high (for me), going to Rose Festival today so will be eating out. After breakfast bs was fine. Well, I probably got too many calories, but I don't think I did too badly considering it was fair and restaurant food. We shared our dinner. We did a lot of walking!
5/26/09 162, bs high in am but good before lunch, 1674 calories and 15 carb servings. I will never get my bs down this way!
5/27/09 162 bs high in am but good later other times, 1563 calories, 12 carb servings.
5/28/09 160.5!! bs high then took 3 other times and it was ok, 20 min yoga strech and 40 min cardio class. 1546 calories, 11 carb servings.
5/29/09 160.5, bs high in am, but good after breakfast, 40 min cardio,1766 calories, 12 carb servings.
5/30/09 161, bs high, 1373 calories, 11 carb servings, parking lot, mall walking and some stairs. Trying to park farther away, add extra steps wherever I can.
Feel better when I'm active.
5/31/09 161, bs good, very bad eating day! Est 2727 calories and 17 carb servings. I will regret this tomorrow!
May goal: Stick to 1500 to 2000 calories, depending on my activity level. Lost 2 lbs in April. If my weight goes up, I need to change my environment. (Don't depend on will power)
