Nothing too exciting around here -- I'm still feeling tired and 'out-of-sorts' and the weather is still dull but mild -- hope to get my wrapping and packaging for mailing finished up today.

See you later . . .

Hi Linda,

What's wrong? Is it blood sugar problems? Whenever I don't feel right, I generally attibute the problem to one of my medications. Anything different?

Hope you start feeling better soon.

Morning!

owie Lynn I hate when I have foot and toenail troubles - just seems to throw my whole being out of sorts. Hope they are happy feet again soon! Glad you tossed the sleeping pills. When I have trouble sleeping I just go in the other room and turn on the TV. Finding a movie or a program that I'd really like to see is a sure fire cure for insomnia - usually snoring before the opening credits are done

I sure know what you mean Lily Seems like the more things I do to improve my health, the more trouble I'm having with my joints and back. Or maybe I've always had these aches and pains but my mind was in such a fog I didn't notice :dunno:

I hope you find what's putting you out of sorts Linda! Just so frustrating when you know you should be feeling good but aren't.

Me? I'm still here, still not smoking. Still sticking pretty well to the whole foods & healthy choices but having issues with keeping the portions under control so I'm letting some extra calories sneak in here and there. Scale is just bouncing up and down like I'm on a trampoline. Might just be because I'm all out of whack between the holiday weekend and tomorrow being my last day at work until I start my new job in January - packing up my office and getting things shipped off to Kansas and all. I don't feel like I'm upset or stressed but been doing some tossing and turning during the night so feeling awfully tired out. But I am really, really looking forward to having a little time off to do Christmassy stuff instead of trying to cram it in on the weekends like I usually have to do.

Probably won't get a chance to stop in tomorrow and I have some pretty big plans for my first Friday free so big :grouphug: to everyone! If I don't make it back, have a wonderful weekend!

Hi YoYo,

I know you really want to stick to your good eating along with your smoking-ending. However, in the grand scheme of things, quitting smoking is probably more beneficial to your health than losing weight for the next few weeks. Hope you get to enjoy your time off. Be good to yourself.

Remember that the Golden Girls are all routing for you. :carrot::carrot::carrot:

I too have difficult feet. Must come with the 50+ years.

My mind is all over the place with the new grandbaby coming, DS getting married this summer and Christmas around the corner and practice for our church concert. I can hardly concentrate on losing weight and exercising but I'm still hangin' in there. Hopefully, I'll get my mind all together soon and get the last few pounds gone.

Love you all.

When things go wrong don't go with them.

Lifting yourself up and continuing forward

Does it ever feel like trouble follows you around and won't cut you any slack? Sometimes it feels like you can't buy a break and everything you try just makes things worse. Who could blame you for feeling sorry for yourself or not forgive a little self-destructive behavior? Bad idea. The new, healthy way to spend down times is to lift yourself up and operate at a higher level. Remember that what happens to you is not who you are. It's history. It's past. Your true self takes that history and decides how to make the best possible future out of it. You have the power to keep your attitude and values from driving into the ditch along with the events in your life. From defeat, you can still emerge victorious.

We're all victorious, just being here on 3 FF's and hanging in there shows the power we all have in ourselves!

Hi there . . . :grouphug:

Just curious BOBBI -- you've mentioned 3FF a couple of times when I've thought you meant 3FC; but maybe you call it something other than 3 Fat Chicks and I was wondering what that might be?????

Northeastern Nova Scotia is mild and mostly sunny today which is great, but boy is it ever windy.

Have a great day . . . :carrot:

retiredone 12-04-2008 11:32 AM

I'm here. Still baking cakes but it's winding down finally. I think I have the last one that I'm doing for a while in the oven. Then I'll start on a few cookies. I like to have some in the freezer for Christmas guests who drop in.

It's a lovely sunny day here. Tuesday it was so warm here in Newfoundland that temperature records were broken. It was as warm as a spring day. It's chillier today but beautiful. It's very hot in our house though and I have the patio door open so I can function. The cold air is also doing double duty as I have the hot cakes cooling in front of them.

I have too much food in my freezer (and that's not cake I'm talking about). I've thrown my menu to the wind for the time being. I keep buying frozen food and other stuff on sale and not using them so this week we're eating from the freezer. Yesterday was ravioli and today is perogies. Tomorrow may be pizza. I can eat all of this in small amounts with a big salad and vegetables like broccoli, carrots and green beans. I don't want to be like my friend's mother, who when they cleaned her freezer, found tv dinners and whole chickens that were over 5 years old. :o

Soon as dinner settles I'm off to jog, bike and push-up. Catch you all later.

Good Morning, Everyone,

Planning to see my Little Sister and her baby this afternoon. Doing some Christmas shopping for her younger brothers.

Went out to dinner last night. Ate about 1/4 of my entree and 1/2 of a dessert - still gained 1/2 lb! I swear that restaurants inject their food with calories!
