I've just been spending my spare time on political news -- I know, a potentially dangerous subject so I will tread lightly. But for whatever strategy he had, I must say that I am very surprised, to put it mildly, that McCain picked a female running mate. I never thought that it would come to pass in my lifetime that there would be a person of color or a female in either the presidential or VP spots. It should not matter at all, about race or gender but for soooooo long it has. Could it be that we are becoming..... more civilized!!??
So this will be a very interesting election. I am a democrat, so there, you know where I stand and I will not stir up any heated debates. But I just wanted to say that I have a lot of emotions about the changes that are going on right now; it is really huge.

Yes, it should be a very interesting election year. Sad to say, we can't really discuss politics on the 3FC forums (although we could via PM).

I didn't think it was allowed because it could get heated, so that's why I didn't really say (I hope) too much. I remember Ferraro, yes. But this is the first time when it looks like which ever party is elected, there will be a major change in past demographic history.
Actually I am not a good political debater anyway to say the least so doing so is not something I am interested in. (even PM) I am just kind of observing in semi-astonishment at what is going on.

Even though it looks like August is a wash-out for me (guess it's a month of "practicing maintenance" :lol:), I have great hopes that September is going to be a marvellous month for us all. :crossed:
