Good Morning,

What a beautiful sunny day we're having. It's so uplifting.

Not much new here - just the regular.

I was at my doctor's this week and he's told me I'm not going back to work for the rest of this school year. That was hard to hear. I know I'm not really ready but to have someone put it so bluntly and write a letter to my insurance company made it sink in a bit too hard.

I hope you're all having a great day.

Talk soon,

Just cuddle a couple of cats and try to enjoy the time off -- you need it.

I'm having a rather strange day today . . . so is our weather . . . still mild but very overcast. We had a nasty storm last night that even knocked down one of my neighbours trees. Other than that, just losts of rain -- wish I could send it to California where they really need it. :(

Other than that, Jazz is at the Vet for another glucose curve and I haven't heard anything from them yet and it's almost 4:30 -- another strange thing? Hopefully no news is good news . . . :^:

See you later everybody . . . try to keep things moving and shaking . . . :carrot:

My dh is a vet! But we're a little far away to see your cat. ha! Settie, does getting laid off cause a big problem for you? Will you not have insurance? I don't know how they could do that. Doesn't everyone in Canada have insurance? Not that way here in the U.S.

I have disability insurance from work which I've paid into over the years so I'm fine that way as long as my doctor supports it. We all have medicare in Canada which pays for doctors, surgeries, hospital stays, etc. but it does not pay our salaries because of loss of work.

Good Morning everybody . . . well it's almost afternoon here, but you know what I mean. Weather is cooling off rather quickly today and, unfortunately, the sun is hiding, too. See you later, gang . . . :carrot:

Talking to myself again . . . Good Morning . . .

carolr3639 10-27-2007 10:18 AM

Meowee, I know how that is. I started and intuitive eating thead a yr or so ago and sometimes people chat away and other times I post 3 times in a row. Gets frustrating. I have a friend who recommended a book called Eat to Live by Joel Furhman. He's a doctor in Boston. My friend's dh had bad cholesterol and tryglicerides and both went down when he changed his eating. He didn't need to lose weight either.

Afraid my day is going downhill. While I was up here on the computer earlier today, Freckle died with his head caught in a plastic bag (empty bag from Fibre One cereal I had had for breakfast) . . . I'm now playing the 'if only' game . . . if only I hadn't been on the computer . . . if only I had thrown the empty bag in the garbage this morning. Poor baby, he was only 7 and a half months old and such a little cuddle-bunny.

 Meowee, I'm so sorry about Freckles, I know you loved him very much. My heart goes out to you. Losing a pet is like losing a memeber of your family. I will be thinking of you today  Donna

meowee 10-29-2007 12:25 PM

Thanks Donna . . .

Sorry girls, but I'm not feeling very chatty today . . . Later

Meowee, I am so sorry about Freckle. I know how much you love your cats. Losing a pet is an awful thing. I'm thinking of you. Please don't blame yourself. Accidents happen - we don't plan them.

Good Morning . . . :grouphug:

I'm feeling quite a bit brighter this morning -- amazing what a good night's sleep can do for you. The sun is shining, too (well mostly) and that always helps. It is cold though; just above freezing; but no snow yet.

Thanks DENISE . . . how are you getting along with your girls BTW? Certainly sounds like they are staying?

Have a great day gang . . .

carolr3639 10-30-2007 09:43 AM

Linda, sorry about your kitty. I love kitties, too. We have lots here on the farm and I wish I could send you one. My son Josh brings kitties here sometimes. I guess we are just the orphanage for animals. We sold 2 of our 25 golden retriever pups but seem like a long way to go to get them all sold.

Hi gang . . .

Hope everybody has a Happy Haunting Day :spid:
