Thumbs up Results of first weigh in

Hi everyone,

The results are in. LOL, i wanted to have lost more but hey, its weight loss. A total of 3 lbs for the week. Not too bad but i wanted to hit a 5 lb weight loss this week. I am not going to complain. I am happy that i lost 3 lbs. My counselor said if i was disappointed its possible i could be mid cycle, and i think i am so she said i don't want to loose to fast and to stop looking at the overall picture.

Ok i am going to stop looking at the overall picture and take it week for week. I LOST 3 LBS lol. Seriously i am really happy and i got my food for this coming week, yummy stuff too.

Ok that's the scoop for now. At least i got my ticker moving a little bit ha ha!!

3 lbs is good! Thats what I lost my first week on ww.

I wanted a 10lbs weight loss my first week so I was slightly disappointed!!

Congrats and remember HEALTHY weight loss is averaging 2lbs a week! so you are already ahead of that average!

Hi Liz,

Thanks, i needed that LOL. I was a bit slightly disappointed but i am not going to stay that way. I realize that 2 lbs is a healthy weight loss and i am ahead of the game so i am doing something right with JC. I feel a difference in my clothing especially my pants, they aren't as tight. So i have another week to look forward to and I got my weight ticker moving at least and better yet IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION ha ha!!!!

Congratulations on the 3lbs!! Go pick up something that weighs that much and I guarentee you'll feel good about the accomplishment.

I can relate to wanting it to be more. I'm guilty of that all the time.

Sandi, congrats on your 4.2 loss! I haven't been around that much lately, so I just saw it now.

WTG on your loss. I know I always expected at least 5-7 pounds that first week. After all I was starting out super huge so I figured at least 3-5 of it had to be water weight right? I think I had 2 pounds that first week and was just very dissappointed (not enough to give up though) because I figured that if I lost 2 pounds on the week I should've lost a ton I would probably only lose .5 or less a week.

As you get going and you aren't so close to your starting weight, it won't seem so daunting to only lose 3, 2, or even 1 pound a week. You'll get there. Keep up the good work.

Thanks everyone, I am happy about the weight loss. Like i said i was aiming for 5 but oh well, some weeks i probably won't even lose at all but thanks for the support and no matter what i will keep on dieting LOL. I just wish this lousy weather would stop as I think i have arthritis of the knee. I had such a hard time maneuvering before this with aches and pains but this is a different kind of pain i am having. I can maneuver but this feels more like arthritis pain. I didn't feel this way until it started raining a few days ago and it has been raining ever since. Sighhhhhhhh I just want to move around LOL, if its not one thing, its another ha ha

I am taking arthritis pain medication for it and it seems to help somewhat.

If it had been 5, you probably would have gained the portion of it that was water back next week and been disappointed. So, since it probably was not all water, you won't have to deal with that next week. Isn't that good news?
