Default A Twist on PB and Celery

I made this up one day as a variation on Celery and Peanut butter. I love that, but I really don't like the taste of raw celery. So I cut up the stalks, put them in a dish, covered it, and steamed them in the microwave for a few minutes until they were a little soft. I then added some splenda and peanut butter, and it made a tasty snack!

Tonight I even varied the recipe, and instead of using peanut butter, I used splenda, cinnamon, and a dash of nutmeg and cloves and steamed it with those spices on. It smells like apple pie and the celery doesn't taste celery-like (bitter) after you steam it. It absorbs the sweetness and it makes a wonderful treat!

Even if you try the PB way, I reccomend adding the sweetener first, just to let the celery soak it up. Anyway, I hope you give this a shot! It's quick and easy and a great way to get the veggies in- I used to love having veggies as a snack, but it was usually baby carrots, which aren't allowed on phase 1. So this, cherry tomatoes, and sugar snap peas have replaced them for me, but I like this sweet treat the best!
