Default Hi I'm new

Well, I joined here in 2002, but I haven't been here since then.

I'm thrilled to be pregnant and expecting my first child at age 37. I was starting to doubt I'd ever be blessed with a baby of my own. So this is a wonderful gift!

I'm almost 22 weeks and so far I've put on about 23 pounds, much of that in my hips and thighs. So I want to get some control and limit the rest of my weight gain - I'd be happy with a 45 lb gain or less - I don't think I'll make the 35 or less category now...

I used to be a Body-for-Lifer and was very much into the bodybuilding/weightlifting lifestyle. But when I started trying to conceive, I put on weight due to stress and hoping it would increase my fertility. So, I'm really looking forward to not only meeting my baby in November, but to get back that level of fitness that I had before I started this baby-making journey.

I wanna be a fit momma! But I am having tons of trouble motivating myself to exercise consistently and stop eating junk food. I hope to get motivation from the other ladies here, and hope I can support you too in your journey.

Thanks for being here!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I conceived my first after a period of infertility (I have PCOS), so I have a tiny inkling of how you feel. Hope you have a happy & healthy 9 months! (OK, ten months...)

hi toybox, welcome! I just found out I am pregnant with #2 after a year of TTC. Next month we were starting fertility treatments, in fact. So, I also have a small idea of how you felt.
