My family actually enjoys the new "crumbles"--fake ground beef stuff made from texture veg protein, but I've only used them in spaghetti, sloppy joes and chili--Anybody using them in other ways! Wanna share the recipes?

Thanks.

browned and onion is tender, stirring until beef crumbles. Drain well.
2. Combine beef mixture, rice, and next 7 ingredients; stir well. Lay
tortillas on a flat surface; line with spinach leaves. Spread beef
mixture evenly over tortillas; roll up tortillas, jellyroll fashion. Wrap
in aluminum foil; cut in half to serve. Yield: 8 servings.

Macaroni Chilli - 3 Or 6 Points

Recipe By :Healthy Homestyle Cooking
Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : @ SENT 6/99 Candies New Recipes
Vegitarian Ww Forum

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
12 ounces lean ground beef
3/4 cup onion -- chopped
1 clove garlic -- minced
1 can kidney beans -- drained
8 ounces tomato sauce
8 ounces chopped tomatoes -- with juice
3/4 cup macaroni
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1/3 cup lowfat cheddar cheese -- shredded

Cook ground beef, onion and garlic until brown, drain fat.

Stir in beans, tomato sauce, tomatoes with juice, macaroni, water and
spices.

Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until macaroni is
tender.

Sprinkle with cheese.

Each serving contains 345 kcals, 13 gms fat, and 9.5 gms fiber = 6 WW
points.

You can substitute 9 ounces (3/4 package) of Morningstar Farms Recipe
Crumbles - burger style for the ground beef and eache serving will have
257 kcal, 3.3 gms fat and 11.1 gms fiber = 3 ww points.

I add a teaspoon of Knor's liquid beef bullion when I use the crumbles
which gives a great beef taste so you don't even know you aren't eating
hamburger. You can also try mixing half and half if your not ready to
give up your ground beef altogether.
