Cool Black Bean Dip

Black Bean Dip


1-1/2 cups

Bean dips are wonderful for snacks or lunches. Scoop them up with raw vegetables or wedges of toasted whole wheat pita bread. They also make great sandwich fillings.

Ingridients:
1 16-oz. can black beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup prepared salsa, hot or mild
2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
n a food processor, combine black beans, salsa, lime juice, cilantro and cumin. Process until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

8 g protein
4 g fiber
76 mg sodium

Make sure to read the labels and that no sugar is added in the salsa or beans. This can be Phase 1 w/o the pita Whole Wheat bread.
