Default looking for another way to make oatmeal

I love oatmeal- but as the weather gets warmer, I can't stand eating the hot food in the morning- especially right after coming back from the gym. I do love the protein pancakes- the kind you make with oatmeal, cottage cheese and egg whites- but I never have the time to make them in the morning. Anyone have any bake ahead ideas for oatmeal- I am not a lover of eggs- or bacon or any kind of breakfast meats- but I love muffins-pancakes-things like that. thanks for the ideas. I prefer low fat- calorie conscious ideas- not necessarily low carb.

I've never made them myself so I don't know if the recipe you mentioned will hold up but, typically, things like pancakes and muffins freeze beautifully. If I go through the trouble to make them I always make at least two batches and put one in the freezer. It makes breakfast time soooo easy. And the best part is pancakes, muffins, etc. can be very easily stored in single servings.

You can even pop leftover pancakes into the toaster to heat them up.

I not a huge hot cereal fan, so I make my oatmeal with water in the microwave. Let it cool a bit and put a 1/2 cup of milk on it. Cools it right down. It is warm but not to warm for the summer time.

Have you tried oatmeal raw in milk? I love it.

The night before take 1/2 cup oats and 200gm tub no-fat yoghurt (fruit flavoured) and mix together. If you like it a little more creamy add 3/4 cup skim milk as well.

Cover and leave to stand overnight in the fridge and in the morning you have a lovely creamy breakfast and best of all, it doesnt matter if you have no time to make anything because its already done!
