Default Everyone Weigh In 4/15/04

I thought it might be fun to have a weekly weigh in thread that everyone could post their (hopefully!) weekly successes to. I don't mean to turn anyone's weight loss into a contest, but rather just have a place where we can all share what we are going through together for that week.

I'll start a thread like this every Friday morning (well, morning for me. I work second shift in a factory, and don't wake up till noon thirty). I hope that at least some of you have fun with this too!

Here goes my first one:

238 pounds, down two pounds from 240 last week.

I've officially dropped 20 pounds now. I've had to switch to a smaller size of pants to wear to work. Also, my bad knee has almost completely stopped hurting now. I still feel an occasion twinge when I am lifting weights, but nothing at when I am just walking around. The pain was never what I would call crippling, but I am a bit surprised at how much of a relief it is to just have it gone.

Aww, this is a cute idea!

Okay, for me it's always hard to say what I weigh because I fluctuate so much within a given range, but my range has dropped and stayed dropped this week. I'm weighing in between 148 and 151... a week ago that range was 150-153 so I'm happy. I haven't switched sizes but my pants are fitting really good (loose).

I think my bigger success this week has been sticking with my weight lifting routine. It's really hard for me to go down in the basement and hit the weights sometimes, but I've been a good girl about it. And I've been doing a reasonable amount of cardio.

Those are my successes for the week!

Well, it's good to see you both join in on this idea. Hopefully other people will add to it as the do their weekly weigh ins, on whatever day those happen to fall on. I think it's fun/useful for those of us who aren't in an official program like WW to have a place where we can still do a community weigh in. It's nice to get a pat on the back if you are doing well, or some sympathy if you aren't!

Yes, a specific day might be better. I weigh myself nearly every day, too. I want to quit that!

Well, I weighed myself this morning and I was 140.5-141. I think I'm on a plateau, but as long as I don't gain, a plateau doesn't bother me.

Congrats on your losses everyone!

Talking

I'm new here and usually weigh in on Mondays but I am a scale addict so I know that as of this morning I was 196. I started at 215. I'll weigh in again on Monday

I'll play! Nearly 2 weeks back on low carb, and I'm down 7 pounds! Now I need to get back into my exercise routine!

Default Count me in

I would really love to have a specific time to weigh each week.
It would help my motivation a lot. It sure seems to give me more
"NO" power if I know I am going to "answer" to someone.
I know this morning that I weighed 222.
I'm new to the forum and I am having a tough time getting started.
I was at 230 back in August and have gone down as far as 209.
I am so frustrated to be back up to 222 so this will be great.
Thanks for the help!

Sorry I wasn't as clear as I could be in my initial post.

The "official" weigh in day is Friday. I figure that's the best day, since it's just before the weekend (which is always the landmine I have to avoid). And everyone in the world is just like me, right? (/snicker) I'll start the post every Friday around noon CST (that's one hour behind East Coast time).

However, I think that if your official weigh in day is different, it is perfectly ok to use that weight as your weigh in on these threads. Wednesday is a good day for you? Fine! Tell us on Friday how much you weighed in on then!

I hope this works for everyone.

If you all don't mind, I'll join in too . . . My weight hasn't changed for a couple weeks, so I'm weighing in at 153! I'm hoping to get to 150 by May 1. (Originally I was going for 146 by May 1, but my plateaus are pretty bad and it's not going to happen at this rate!)
