Just lurking around--wondering if anyone is following the Glycemic Index Diet? I started it about 5 days ago. It seem very sensible, and I think I can stick with it ..... I was attracted to it because diabetes runs in my family, and , although so far, my blood sugars are good, I need to lose quite a bit to prevent it in the future....

Yes, I got the book, and also sent away for the cookbook. So far, it is working GREAT for me---I 've lost 9 lbs in about 2 weeks, haven't felt hungry, and no sugar/junk cravings...I'm exercising moderately, also. So far so good! Pat
MissPat, how are you doing with the G.I. Diet?
My husband and I just started it. We decided to try it because a friend of mine has been doing it and she's enjoyed great success with it. I hope hubby and I can say the same after we get used to it.
