Default Wednesday Chat - January 12th

Wake up everyone!

I'm leaving for work, and it just doesn't seem fair that the rest of you seem to be sleeping in today!

I'll drink a cup of coffee for each of you and hope that does the trick!

Paula: We had rain/ice last night so we're on a 2 hour delay for school. That always throws my schedule off (well, considering I sleep in that would do it too, eh? ) have a great day!!

Jane: What a nasty time to be at work!! Then again, I'm looking at the time it said you posted and it says "1:51 PM" Don't work too hard

TG: Today is day 2 correct?

Well, the delay in schools means I only will be working 2 1/2 hours. Which is a good thing considering I have almost NO work to do. Told the nice boss I might be cutting back my hours until work picks up again. Bad on the paycheck but that means more time for other things. Like maybe cleaning my house? dang thing never stays clean We're supposed to get more nasty weather coming so I'm not sure how the next few days are going to be. Might have a "snow day" in there. Then again, depends on if the weather people are right. But we know how that goes right?

Good Morning

Brenda~lately the weather ppl, have been coming up with some very clever words words for the type of weather we are going to get. I just want some sunshine, I dont care how cold it might be........I NEED some sunshine!! Hope you have a good day

I ventured out last night and bought some mini blinds for dd room. Thats the first thing on my list after I finish my coffee. I managed to get a bit of cleaning done, but of course in sorting and cleaning 2 rooms, I managed to pile a bunch of crap in the kitchen "catch all" corner. So thats on todays list! I actually want to turn that corner into a sitting space. I have the seating to go there, and a little table for the phone and fax, I just have to get busy and do it. Today just might be the day to get that job done.

Im going to try to get out and go for a walk today, I'll check the sidewalks and see...have a great day everyone

Spedmom: I'm awake, I'm awake! You do get up and at'em early.

Jane: How's the weather there? Still bad? Is everyone excited about the game this weekend?

Brenda: I have the same issue. The house gets cleaned, and then the next thing I know, it's messy again. It's a never-ending saga.

Robin: Sounds like you'll be really productive today. That's great!

Tonight is my friend and I's Subway dinner, church and gym night. I'm really starting to look forward to these days. I think tonight is the night: I think I'm actually going to join the gym (I've just been free-loading on free passes until now.) I just love it so much. I've always been hesitant because of the cost and commitment, but I think it's definitely worth it. Plus, I just got a great review for work yesterday and a raise, so I've got to spend it somehow, right?

Hope you all have a great day!

Take care,
Jina

Good morning!

Paula - Sleeping in! I'll have you know that you posted that at 5:30 am in my world. And I was up!

Jane - You hard little worker, you!

Brenda - Happy winter!

Robin - Happy cleaning!

Jina - Congrats on the review and the raise! Woo-hooo!!!!

Not much new here. I went to the dentist yesterday to get my crown put on (remember the episode with the tequila, the curb, and the broken tooth?) and the thing doesn't fit right! AND the color doesn't match right! Argh! So I get to go back today for the lab specialist to do a custom color match for me. Then they have to re-do the mold for the crown. Joy!

So, you know me, bad coping skills: I went to the bar and had a few Jack & diet's with a friend. Bad bad Star! Oh well, it's all just whiskey under the bridge, right?

Good Morning ladies!!!

Jina:you will love the gym, at least I love mine, I can go there and work out and I just feel so realxed after I leave!!

B- Yes today is day 2!!! Yippeeee We are going to breeze though this even on the weekend!

OH Robin I know what you mean about a catch all corner, I have a catch all room that is screaming to be cleaned, I need to get on that. You know what Oprah says " you can tell how a person feels about themselves from the way their house looks!!" hahahahahahaha Nice of her to say that when she probably has a posse of maids! hahahahaha

HI sped and Jane!!!!!

Well OP yesterday went fine i was going to go to the gym but Monday I took my car thru the car wash and it ripped a piece off the bottom of my car, so yesterday afternoon the whole trying to getthe carwash to pay saga went on for hours and I missed the gym. Needless to say I will not be going to the carwash again cause they tried to have my very angry husband arrested!!! He gets passionate when someone is screaming in his wife's face! No he didn't hit anyone!!! OH the drama of it all, I HATE DRAMA!!! I was just sick over the whole thing because I am sucha a non-drama person. BUt it is all fine now we just got ahold of the more reasonable manager and he is going to pay. My only question is....DO THEY TRAIN ANYONE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYMORE!!??? Dang a little PR and customer is right goes a long way!! Sorry for the vent!

Anywho...I hope everyone has a great LC day. I will be back later!

Hugs
TG

TG~you are so right about (or oprah) telling how someone feels about themselves by looking at their house. When I fall off the wagon...the house seems to come with me!

Hey everyone!

Missing in action again, I was.

Lisa - I love the names you picked out for your almost-daughter. I have a friend named Lindy, and Emma and Grace have always been favourites of mine!

TG - sorry to hear about your car - I always had a great fear that automatic car washes would tear things off my car, so I drove with a *very* dirty car for a long time until I finally gave in!

Star - I just got back from the dentist today, though I was lucky - no cavities (of course - I have no cavities when I *finally* have a plan that actually pays for some of it! Yeesh!)

Jina - Congrats on the raise! That's great that you've been enjoying the gym - I've become quite the fan of weight training in the past 2 months - I like feeling myself get stronger and actually be able to notice it when I carry things around.

Robin - Good luck on getting your seating corner set up!

Brenda - ugh, we are covered in ice too. I had a near miss just trying to get to my vehicle today. I had to lean on the vehicle while walking around it just to make sure that I didn't take a big fall. It's ridiculously icy out there!

Hi Jane & Spedmom!

Other than what I thought was going to be a traumatic experience at the dentist this morning, nothing too exciting is going on. I've been doing a bit of searching on the web for companies in Edinburgh that I can apply to. I'm first going to try and find something related to engineering, but if I'm not having luck, I'll start branching out more. I am still awaiting to receive my Working Holiday Maker visa for the UK, though the refusal rate is like 0.7% so I'm not too worried that I will get it. And I've been making some lists about what else I have to do ... like get my International Driving Permit, notify the health insurance that I'm leaving the country, etc. etc. Lists upon lists upon lists, I have!

But anyway, I still have time, as it's probably not for a month that I'll leave.

Anyway, gotta go,

Julie

Hello everyone. Am I eating okay?

B: 2 eggs with 2 slices american cheese and 1 piece regular breakfast sausage.
S: 1 String Cheese
L: Spaghetti Squash, 4 small meatballs and spaghetti sauce (no sugar added)
D: Chicken, vegetable and a salad

Now, for the first two weeks, I can not have any fruit, correct?

Raging sore throat and beginnings of head congestion. The up side, not hungry at all, though I am eating left over leg of lamb to stay on track.

Exercise not, head is pounding so that won't work though I was watching the Biggest Loser on TV last night and was inspired to lift some weights, not that I picked up the ones next to the sofa, but they were there.

Off to prepare for meetings, very funny DH Lisa,

LADY A - I keep my house clean by inviting people over all the time. On Sunday I had two really good friends over to knit and hang out and I made a really nice dinner of things I knew our DHs don't eat and we had a great time. In any case, it keeps the house neat to have people over all the time.

Off to a meeting, blah.
