Default Remember Me? Been MIA for a while...

I haven't been here in a while. I have finally decided that enough is enough and I really need to do something about this weight. I am now up to a whopping 290 lbs and only stand 5'4" so that is quite a bit of weight to lose to become a healthy individual.

I have dug out my Dr Phil's Ultimate Weight Loss Solutions book and decided to read it. I have also bought some much healthier foods such as fresh fruits and veggies and whole wheat(mind you I always bought whole wheat so that wasn't a problem) bread and wraps. And I have also started drinking some water instead of pop or juice. I am up to about 1½L of water a day so far.

I also do a little exercising(walking). Every day I walk Katy to and from the bus stop, mind you that is only about ½ block each way, and every Mon, Wed, Fri I walk about 3-4 blocks each way to take my son to and from preschool. I know that it isn't much now, but it's a start. We also have a membership at the YMCA so I guess I should start utilizing that too.

Anyhow thought I would pop in and say hi, and join in on the weight loss endevour once again.

Welcome back, Jen! It's great to have you back, and I know you know this, but it bears repeating: We're here for you with any help you need -- short of following you around and snatching snackies from your hand! I could have used someone to help me out with that this weekend, so I think I'm projecting here! Seriously, it's wonderful to see you, and I'm proud of you for recommitting to your health. Your new life begins today.

Your babies' pic's are ADORABLE, by the way! Too, too cute....

Welcome back!

All three of your kids are so darn cute, but you might consider doing something about the last one's ears.

I like your banner. My granddaughter, whose photo is my avatar, has Edward's Syndrome (Trisomy 18).

Welcome back. You've definitely been missed around here. Just remember that it's the baby steps that add up.

Welcome back.I'm Pam.Little steps lead to big ones., I started out on carbs then switched to cals and I started out not being able to walk farther then my front door, now I walk 30 min everyday.Eating the right foods and cutting back portions is so important. I also realized I had to change my attitude towards food. I practise positive thinking about my diet by recounting all the benifits I've recieved sence I've begun to lose weight. I see my "diet" as a blessing instead of a chore.
