I am still here,.. I Didnt get to go to the Doc yet, had to reschedule, but I am supposed to go the 13th. Doesnt seem like the cardiologist is too worried. I went to family services to apply fro medicaid, but I dont think it is going to work. Hubby says if we dont get it, then he is going to get insurance through his work just on me for now, so we can get x-rays and such. In the meantime, we are just having everything billed to us
As far as losing weight, hubby thinks I have lost a bit. They put me on a low sodium (2000 mg) and low fat diet, so there isnt much that is allowed. A friend gave me her breadmaker though, so we have had quite an adventure here trying out low sodium pizza dough recipes and low sodium bread. I was really irritated on Thansgiving because I wanted pumpkin pie, but hubby does good telling me what i can have,.. he even measures it out in the little measuring cups and on the food scale. With some creative recipes I dont think Christmas will be too bad:-). I am a little sad that I am going to lose all my kick butt leg muscles I got from exercising because right now I cant oo anything. even standing up to wash dishes is an adventure. It just feels like I have been walking 10 miles when I may have only been standing a couple minutes. Mom says that is because the meds I am on zap your potassium? Tonight though, I am going to do some reps with my 5lb dumbbell and see how that goes. The meds also make me super sleepy all day! The cardio head nurse says it takes several weeks for your body to adjust. I cant wait to go back to the doc though. I am eager to see if my blood pressure has improved!
