I see you're "cleaning up" the forum, Mauvais!

I got in a 55 minute walk today. Brisk.

I lifted weights Monday (lower body) and Wednesday (upper body) – lifted to failure – and have the sore biceps to prove it!
Jogged Tuesday morning, about 30 minutes.

More walking today. I need to get back into my exercise routine but it is hard since I am packing up my apartment and have no room to do pilates in.

15 minutes of cycling. I bought a cheap ($15) pedal-bike thing. Not a full size exercise bike, just the pedals. I figure I can pedal when I am playing on my computer.

I saw one in the Regal catalogue, can't remember how much it was though. It is just the foot peddles and you can pump up and down while sitting or standing.

What a great idea Squeak!

Red face It's a start....

I cycled for about 25 minutes (while watching "True Crime Authors" on the History Channel. Fascinating!)

Then did a bit of leg work on my bowflex. I've had it for a year but haven't used it enough--it's still a little, well, not intimidating really, but I feel like I still have to read the directions too much for the different positions. I need to use it more so that it's just a lickity-split no brainer to change it into the correct layout.

I have to hand it to them: I do think it's a really well-designed system.

Darn...still haven't changed that avatar!

I wouldn't recommend my pedal-thing Ellis. It apparently can't handle my weight on it. It is already half coming apart.

Yeah. Exercise.
Jogged Thursday, Weightlifting Friday – not much for the weekend, just a couple of walks. Which is nice – I like having quiet weekends and do most of the exercising during the week.

Mauvaisroux – you’re packing up your apartment? Did you guys buy a house already?
LLS – yes, we’re eagerly awaiting the changed avatar!

Default Whoa. New avatar!

Sheesh. I finally changed it and it looks like it changed it in ALL of my existing posts! I'm shocked!

Anyhoo, I can proudly say that I cycled for 25 minutes this morning while watching E True Hollywood Story. (I love watching Ted Nugent's daughters describe how they had to tell dad to knock it off when he brought home groupies who were younger than the daughters themselves.....and then Ted cuts in and says "Hey, I'm a breeder, what can I say?!" and the girls just about DIE! It's a hoot.)

And I also did a brisk 30-minute walk at the beach today--about 1 mile total.

(I have no clue...how long does it take some of the rest of you to walk a mile? Give me a target to shoot for.)

And yes, this avatar is me at about 14 or 15. I weighed 154 pounds (yes, that's what I look like at 154!) and, because of that, I was put on drugs to lose weight. Does this LOOK like a girl who needs to lose weight? Arrgggh. Meanwhile, when I'm put on an adult dose of Lasix, I lose eight pounds overnight and within a short time I'm having to drink potassium in orange juice because I'm so depleted that I'm lightheaded.

Wait--it gets better: My dad was the pharmacist who filled the prescription!

Let me assure you that my psychiatrist has job security.

Bye for now!

Default Exercise for 9/6

Well, starting off the challenge decently --

Started with 45 minutes of physical therapy
30 minutes of moderate walking

Not too bad...

And LLS -- I can see why you're in disbelief about your past. Glad to see that as an adult you know better -- and are able to make the choices on your own rather than being subject to what THEY think is right...
