Default I finally picked a reward

I felt like I needed something to work toward. Yes, I know...I am indeed doing this so I can feel good and happy and look good and happy, and be healthy and happy. But, ****, we all want a little "bling" every now and then, lol. I decided, that when I hit 160/150 I'm going to buy this leather jacket:

And I'm going to look like that in it yay! This way, I'll have something tangible that I want. I hung up pictures everywhere that's important, ie, the fridge!! lol, But most importantly, when I hit my goal weight...I'll have something I never want to lose, and hopefully having something as nice as this will stop me from bulking up again! It's kinda vain, maybe...but I am after all, a college kid, lol

Serious though, choosing a reward has given me a new drive for my diet and I'm more excited than ever. I know it'll be a while till I can get my jacket, but at least now, everyday I tell myself it's well worth the wait!

OMG, that jacket is HOT! I can totally understand being motivated by thought of wearing THAT bling! I think it's great that you have a tangible reward all picked out. Hmmmmmmm........maybe I need to do a little reward window shopping myself! Hm. Ok, back to you I love the jacket, and I think it's a fabulous idea. I'm totally rooting for you, girl -- you're going to look tres fabu wearing that at some cafe in the west village.....

Not that I consider it a reward, but I have this thing that if I see a nice pair of jeans on sale that aren't my size, I buy them and try them on until they are my size. Right now, there is a pair of size 24 levis in my closet. I can actually button them and zip them up, but they are TIGHT. When I bought them, I couldn't even pull them up over my butt.

What I was thinking for a reward was saving up some money and doing a shopping spree since I'll need a new wardrobe once I'm at my goal weight. I haven't started saving the money yet but I have a way to go til I'm at my goal.

I have set up several rewards along the way but when I hit my goal weight the one thing I know Im buying is a tight little black dress. That has always symbolized thin and sexy to me. I bet Ill wear it EVERYWHERE when I get it LOL!

I've got a picture of my beach wedding bikini stuck in my journal! It really does help to motivate me. I can't believe that I have no idea what wedding dress I'm going to wear - but I've got the bikini well and truly covered!

Yes, that is a cool jacket Alison - I'm all for having pictures of gorgeous clothes to wear - it really will help to keep you on track -just remember, each pound is a step closer to that jacket!

Love Amanda x

Thats awesome Alison! You can do it and we expect to see all the pictures of you in your new jacket hanging out in some awesome little hot spot! You go! That's a perfect incentive... I want one too!

I think the jacket is a great idea. I do the same thing...reward myself with something every 10 pounds...it's a great motivator. To be honest...I am spoiled and these things work for me...lol

Lemme just say, that jacket is awesome! I bet it'll look great on you too! Its awesome to have rewards set... helps to keep you motivated everyday!

My reward will be going to the mall and being able to wear anything that I want and be able to try stuff on, wondering if they'll fit right.... rather than just walking by stores knowing nothing will fit.
