Default Everything you ever wanted (or not wanted) to know about spray butter

I finally got a response from I can't believe its not butter spray regarding the caloric & fat values for the spray when used more than 5 sprays (1 serving size). Here it is:

Hi Gretchen,

Thanks for writing!

are labeled to reflect those guidelines.

Other guidelines are:

acids does not exceed 1% of total fat.

Low Fat-3 grams or less per serving, OR if serving size is smaller than 3
grams per 50 grams of food.

Low Saturated Fat-1gram or less per serving AND not more than 15% of
calories from saturated fat.

Reduced or Less Fat AND Reduced or Less Saturated Fat-At least 25% less
per serving than reference food (food which it is being compared to.)

Here is the calorie and fat information of ICBINB! Spray:

25 sprays(5.0g) 20 calories 2g fat
37.5 sprays(7.5g) 30 calories 3g fat

24 sprays=1 teaspoon 17 calories 1.9g fat
72 sprays=1 tablespoon 52 calories 5.8g fat

ENTIRE BOTTLE 900 Calories = 90g Fat

One gram of fat is made of 15% Saturated Fat, 54% of Monounsaturated Fat
and 31% Polyunsaturated Fat. For further information, please contact the

We hope this information is helpful!

Thanks for the information Gretchen!

Well it's not calorie and fat-free but at least its very low in both.. Especially compared to regular butter.

I'm really not sure if we have this stuff in Canada, I don't think i've ever seen it.. Maybe I'll try and look for it, when I go to the grocery store tonight! I just use Molly McButter as my butter substitute.

Ummmm Gretchen... how many sprays are you using chica? I mean 12.5 sprays seems a bit much for a baked potato.

wow, that's misleading! I mean, it can't be great to drench spinach in it like I do (heehee) but still! Thanks for sharing that, Gretchen.

Well its still better than butter unless you open up the top and dump the enitre container on your food lol so I am going to stick with it. If it helps me eat my veggies then so be it.

Jessica- I use it to replace any type of oils etc like if I want some "fried chicken" per sae, I pour about a tablespoon into the pan is all!

I don't really use it aside from spritzing a few sprays onto greenbeans etc.
