Default the unthinkable!

Ladies -- this weekend, well, yesterday to be exact, I did the unthinkable.

I went to the gay Pride celebration here in DC. There was LOTS and I mean LOTS of food there.

I got chicken on a stick [protein] and a Diet Coke. Then, my friends stopped and got fries.

I don't think anyone can quite understand the relationship I used to have with fries. They were my friends, my soul mates, my compadres. I could eat potatoes and, namely fries, everyday for the rest of my life. If stranded on a deserted island with nothing to eat and I got a wish for food, it would be a neverending pile of potatoes. While many on SB worry about their bread/pasta/rice addictions, I was crying about my beloved, the potato.

So now, you can get a small, yet not comprehensive idea of the love I feel for the fellas.

Well, as I was saying, my friends got fries. And, ladies and gents, I had one, count it, ONE fry the size of half my pinky. And that was it.

I curbed the craving, had one, satiated it, and moved on.

After when they got Italian ices, I sucked on my Diet Coke. Sure, I was thinking about how yummy that one fry was, but still. It was only one!

Anyone have any unthinkable moments this weekend???

My husband was talking about Pringles and it sounded so good. I ate two Sweet Mesquite BBQ Pringles and stopped at that. In the past, I could have eaten the whole can! It was just so good!

Yes, as I finished my third martini - I couldn't believe what a big cheater I had been. Scarfing down bad pub grub too.

I'm terrible.

I think my work stress level did it - heck I went out with coworkers!

This weekend my wonderful mother-in-law, who usually is very kind to make things that are OP for me, made one big naughty supper. Filets wrapped in REAL bacon, shrimp cocktail, fruit salad (main ingredient: WATERMELON), nappa cabbage salad (not too bad, but the dressing has lots of sugar in it, and there are ramen noodles in it for crunchies), and pasta salad. There was absolutely no way for me to behave at all! Lots of eating out and lots of little cheats going on this weekend for me in addition to my MIL's contribution. I was SO nervous to weigh this morning, but the scale has still gone down. I am one lucky Fuzzy.

I did the unthinkable and had a piece of my pineapple cake at the "erection party". It was the excitement of seeing all those buff young guys, I guess.
