Our office has an annual dinner at this swanky restaurant on campus. I know I can stay OP by ordering a steak and a double side of veggies, but I was wondering if I could order French Onion Soup without the bread? I suppose I could also order it without the cheese...but does it have any sugar in the broth? Hmmmm. I do love it, and having that to look forward to would (hopefully) keep me from their warm rolls that are so very good. Everyone else is going to want them, so keeping them off the table is not an option.

Just trying to plan ahead so I stay on the plan!

We had to place our orders today, so I just ordered the soup without the bread. I hope that's going to be okay. Does anyone know if it has sugar, usually? Hmmm...

Not as far as I can remember. It is always hard to tell when you haven't prepared the meal yourself though. Sometimes you have to take a guess.

I checked out several online recipes for French Onion Soup, and did not find any with more than a teaspoon of sugar for a whole pot. I wonder if this would be enough to matter?
