IF it doesn't cause you uncontrollable carb cravings & IF you don't eat too much of it, you can make it part of your weight-loss strategy. Check the calories on the label. I don't, personally, have enough experience with them to remember any of the counts off the top of my head, but I know I have seen some "low-carb" candy bars that have 200+ calories! (I am hoping those are the exception to the rule.) Even one or two of
those a day could seriously sabotage your efforts.
Really, moonmirror, if eating them makes you feel like you're backsliding, even only mentally, I'd stay away as much as possible. I'm personally familiar with the "Well, today is shot anyway, so I'll just eat whatever & get back on the diet tomorrow" frame of mind, and it isn't a good one. (I push myself to take it ONE MEAL at a time, but it's hard!)
