I was 170.8 yesterday, and then 169.4 today. Still not calling it yet. Probably not until I see 169.x for a couple days in a row. Still exciting to see the 160s again! It's been forever!
The wedding for my friend yesterday went great! It was a beautiful wedding, and I ate very well. It helped that they had some pretty healthy food for sit-down dinner. Then I had one glass of wine and a cake pop. Done. That is a big victory for me to eat out like that and stay right on plan with minimal indulgance.
Figured I'd check in with all you guys while I wait for everyone to finish packing so we can go home (we stayed overnight after the wedding).
Danieh: I don't know what's going on with your weight either, but it's not 'true' weight gain unless you've eaten enough for it to be. Water fluctuations are very strange sometimes, also frustrating, but they ARE normal. Hang in there! I tried calorie cycling for a couple days, and for me that broke my stall of 12 days.
Raining: That's what I'm working on, too. Eating in a way that I can KEEP eating after I've reached my goal. A way that will let me STAY at goal. For me, it has to have some very specific characteristics to do that.
Leopardspots: Yep, I don't love exercise either, but it needs to be some part of a routine to keep the weight off. I think it's not just about losing weight, but also being healthier. That whole mindset helps to keep weight off, I think.
And congrats on being so close to your low weight! You'll make 174! And beyond!
Jeminijad: Congrats on breaking through that stall!
You're so close to the 160s! I agree that certain decades/weights feel 'different' in the mind. For me, the 150s are 'regular chubby.' Probably because I'm overweight until I hit the 140s.
Love2b: No problem!
Steady progress, slow or quick, is progress. Good work! You'll be out of the 170s before too long!
Katiam: Yep, we need to make sure these boats are sturdy and sea-worthy for a very long time. I think that you did great with the seafood, and I think if you keep indulging reasonably you will be able to maintain. At least for me, being unable to eat out or adjust quickly has been a downfall before.
