Is anyone else struggling in the 140s? I've been posting over in the Featherweights thread but no one else seems to be active on that one, and I like watching other people's progress, so I thought I'd start one here to see if anyone else wants to try to escape the 140s! The 140s are where I started to regain off my last big weight loss, so it's really scary being in them for me (scared I'll reverse direction and go back up and never get to the 130s). So let's encourage each other to get out of them!
I got into the 140s on November 29th. I'm 147.8 today (lowest 140s yet). So eight pounds to get out! That sounds like not much, but losing at a pound a week, still about 2 months to get out. I'm having trouble with lower deficits, so -500 is probably about the most I can strive for these days!
Hi - I began a new thread below "out of the 140's" but I found this one so will post in it. I came out of the 150's on December 4th and weigh 148. We're very close. I only weigh once a week on Fridays.
You can do it and so can I. Let's do this even if it's 1 pound loss per week. Every loss counts. I'm doing a low carb low calorie diet. What is your weight loss plan?
I hope more join us.
I'm sorry I missed it! I tried to search through to find any 140s threads but it doesn't seem to be a popular decade haha.
I'm just counting calories and getting at least 10k steps. I wear a fitbit to calculate my daily calorie needs (usually 2000-2200) and try to eat at least -500 calorie deficit (sometimes lower) but would love to be eating at a bigger deficit to get the weight off faster… but whatever is sustainable is best, right?
Absolutely! It's best to do what is sustainable. I just started to walk on my treadmill today and plan to build it up and to do it daily from now on. I think I have about a 500 calorie deficit daily at 1,200 calories. I'm only 5' 2" now. I have a salad for lunch every day plus a low cal and low carb protein bar. The protein bar helps my craving for sweets.
Joining in!! I was 139.6 this morning and granted that is out of the 140s..it's the first time I've ever been in the 130's and after my 2000+ calories today I'm sure I'll be back up in the 140's this week! Tomorrow is a new day! Hope everyone else did well today!
I would think that working 11 hours does burn calories. I'd be exhausted. How many more days at this schedule? My weigh-in is tomorrow and I hope to be 147 which would be 1 pound loss. I don't expect much more because I'm eating approx. 1,200 calories per day.

Not so much if you're seated and at a resting heart rate for the whole time… haha. I'm articling at a law firm, so… until September basically, on and off.
Well, I'm right behind you. I weighed in at 147.25 this morning. I was hoping for a full pound loss, but will surely take a 3/4 pound loss over a gain.
Wishing you a great day. I can see that I need to cut back on carbs a bit further. I did have pasta once this past week.
I eat a loooooot of carbs. Like I had bread and chocolate for two meals yesterday because that's what I wanted, haha. It wasn't super filling so I had chicken on salad for dinner, but yeah. I ate bread + pb & j this morning. Now I will have chips and goat cheese for lunch.
I would probably be way less tired if I upped my nutrition but it's an ongoing battle. Ha.
146.8. 7 lb to go. Only at about ~1 pound a week deficit, so SEVEN MORE WEEKS? Which seems so long, but the past 4 weeks went by fairly fast, soooo I dunno.
