How are you?
I am well. I like my volunteer teaching job and teacher college is going well. So far I'm making A's. But it is really busy.
How's the PCOS?
Some things are better. My labs came back and my liver enzymes are no longer elevated. Woot!
The switch from compound pharmacy oral hormones to estradiol ticket patch and progesterone vaginal inserts brought it back down to normal. The oral pill going through my liver was aggravating it.
My asthma is under control and I got the best lung function test in 3 years. Woot!
Some things are not so great -- I feel off the wagon food logging as I was adjusting to my new volunteering schedule and college schedule. Add Thanksgiving and wonky meds and BAM. Big regain. Times like this I realize that the small steps I do to maintain? They may not seem like a lot but when I don't do them -- WHOOSH! I can gain from the air it seems.
What are you working on now as goals?
I'm trying to get that back in order before my next labs in 6 mos. (water, food log, walking, etc)
How successful were you for past season on your goals?
Ok in attitude, i guess. But sometimes it is hard.
I won't kid you guys. This PCOS perimenopause stuff for me is ****. I don't know what's going on, sometimes I feel crazy... the specialist sorted out the better meds to help my liver, but kicked me back to the OB/GYN who is PCOS clueless... It's like I can't find a doctor who is PCOS knowledgable to stay with. It's like if I am not having babies, nobody really cares to keep up with the PCOS management or something.
What's up with that?!
A.
