Pixellate, you are an expert about your own body. But I would hate for you to think that your gut is permanently 'stretched out'.
I've always understood that the stomach/intestines/etc are rather elastic organs - they shrink and stretch in proportion to use. Would it be possible to experiment with trying to eat smaller meals, drinking 500ml of water before eating, etc? Sometimes our psychological hunger and our physiological signals of satiety don't always match up.
Something to consider, anyway.
