ShelbyLynn

I just saw your question from yesterday.

Yes, both illness and injury cause temporary inflammation, which is water.

You'll see it in the scale. This is a lesson in acceptance and knowing it is NOT fat gain. There are so many reasons the scale can stall or go up. As long as we stick with IP, it will eventually whoosh off.

Good Morning

WI for me today, 2 days earlier than my norm....need to be on a Tuesday WI for November because I have office commitments for Thursday...so not expecting to get my 50 down today although it would be nice if the scale were kind

NSV yesterday when I took the dog out in the morning I just grabbed what it thought was my fleece from the coat closet (it was dark) when I came home DH was up and says "why are you wearing my golf windbreaker ?" I almost fell over it has been at least 15 years since I have been able to do that. He hugged me and told me how proud he was of me.....he is certainly my biggest cheerleader.....he then proceeded to tell me he is going to eat "clean" again because he feels better doing that....I think he just doesn't want me to be smaller than him

Awww Sue what an awesome NSV and it sounds like your husband is so sweet and supportive - I bet that felt great!!!

I am off work the first 1/2 of this week using some vacation days with my elementary school kids who are out this week. They go to a year round school so this is one of the many breaks they get during the year. We have been doing some fun Halloween treats and I haven't even felt tempted!

Thank you so much to everyone that contributes here. I love coming here and reading about everybody and it is so good to be able to come here and chat with all of you that can relate to what we are all going through on IP.

Have a great day!

Good Morning all,

I have my grandson ,who is five, tho morning we are off to story hour at the library. Then i have a kit to make an R2D2 model with flashing lights and sounds.
I hope it is not too complicated. He is such a stars fan. When I picked him up this morning he even had a stars shirt on. Wish me luck on making the model.

This afternoon I have to work at 3:30 but it is not really work. I am a coach for my IP clinic and they even pay me.

Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning All!

Sue that is a GREAT NSV!!!! Thanks for sharing and making me smile this morning!!

Sally - It's crazy about when your brain switches over to the not be tempting side. I still am in a battle with myself about when I'm going to phase off. I have said 135 for a while but I'm still playing it by ear.

I can definitely tell after my TOM this month that the girls have gone down a lot. They had been holding strong but I don't know if I can keep them in my size D bras now, may have to fully commit to C's. Which I'm okay with.

Good Morning All,

Awesome NSV Sue
FSFA, good luck on the model and have a fun time with your grandson.

I will be sad to see the girls lose mass, I hope it's not too much and that I don't have to buy a bunch of different sizes during the losing phase. I'm a 36G/H cup right now and everything has to be bought online because of my remote location. So it will be challenging finding proper fitting bras

I have really slacked up the last couple of days. I haven't cheated per se. Just not being diligent to get all of my water in and such - drinking more coffee, tea without the extra water. I am getting back onto schedule today. I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't give myself a slow loss week by not staying extra hydrated.

I lost a lot of volume and 'traditional' underwire type bras don't fits as well. Bali makes something called the "comfort revolution" that is like a one size fits a range (i.e. S, M, L, etc). Plenty of coverage and support and OMG - so comfortable without an underwire poking all day. Might not be for the extra blessed among us but they are on sale right now at kohls - only $19 if anyone is looking!

I am at the same starting point as you were and have a similar goal weight. I have lost the same 50+ pounds at least 8 times. I am sick of it.

Hey all! Had an NSV last night. I went out to dinner with 4 women that I've known for 18 years. We live near each other and have been through many highs and lows together. We went to a Chinese restaurant and I was able to find one dish to fit IP. I had grilled salmon and steamed vegetables. They had wine and typical Chinese foods. I didn't even eat the fortune cookie! It felt good that my resolve was strong and unwavering. I'm more able now to think / see long term goals versus short term gratification. It feels good

Kissi - Me too with the water and just kind of slacking off. Not cheating, but an extra coffee here and there, or not measuring veggies. As I approach my goal (which I may move, but that is a whole other conversation) it is going to be even more important to be focused on the details. Maintenance looks challenging unless time and energy is put into planning.

Let's both recommit and get that water in!

I'm BACK!

So happy to have completed the Avon Walk - all 39.3 MILES - this weekend. Granted, my feet are not happy with me . . . I didn't prepare them very well.

I did have to up my foods and go off plan a little bit to keep my energy up. And yes, I did partake in a nice glass of wine to celebrate! Just ONE!

I was officially down another 2.5 lbs at WI yesterday, so I'll take it.

This weekend will be a bigger challenge as it's another trip out of town . . .but this one will be even more of a social event with my in-laws and a football game. I'm hoping to stick OP, but don't plan on kicking myself if I slip a little bit. It'll be another weekend with lots of walking, not as much, but still a lot.

So that's my update -- back OP this week and moving forward towards my goal.
