Default Ground Turkey, Mushroom and Onion pasta dish!

Hey guys,
Just wanted to share a simple thing I often find myself cooking up for dinner. You can make it as healthy as you want, or even bend it towards the unhealthier side (let's hope you don't!).

You'll need a package of ground turkey. There's really no set amount, just estimate how much turkey you'd like to see mixed in with your pasta.

One medium sized yellow onion, chopped. Again, use as much onion as you want.

One small carton of white "button" mushrooms. Wash and slice thinly.

Put a large pot of water on to boil in pick out your favorite whole-grain pasta. I like elbows for this or spaghetti broken in half.

Put a bit of olive or canola oil in a large skillet and slowly cook the mushrooms and onions until tender. Salt and pepper to taste during this step.

Then, add in the ground turkey and cook until fully browned.

You can use fresh garlic in this recipe but I prefer to use a healthy dose of garlic powder. Add chicken stock or water + chicken bouillon to make a "sauce" to coat the noodles that you will be mixing it.

Once the noodles are tender, drain them and mix them into the turkey, onion, and mushroom mixture.

Adjust the salt, garlic, and fat content to your liking.

I like green beans on the side with the dish. Hope you guys like it!

Bringing back this super old post because I turned it up googling ground turkey sauce recipes this morning. I added a cup of frozen broccoli to it, and added a bay leaf when I poured in the chicken stock.

My version came out to 333 calories per serving including cooking oil and some margarine on the noodles to keep them from sticking.
