Morning all, I would normally be watching the news on the TV at this time of the morning, however our signal has gone. No inclement weather so not sure why. So, instead of watching what will be depressing news anyway, I thought I'd check in here instead.

WI in today. Hoping that at least I haven't gained - I'm in the middle of Phase 3 so am expecting a small gain due to the amazing breakfasts I can now have. Feeling very nervous about phase 4 next week but I have been stalking the maintainers and I am in the middle of the Beck Diet Solution. There are definitely some interesting strategies in there. I read Refuse to Regain some time ago but I want to revisit it as I move into maintenance.

Hope everyone has a great IP day!

You will be fine Rosie. It takes some getting used to and you always have to be diligent. Contrary to general public belief, you are not done dieting when the weight loss is done, a diet is a way of eating. You need to monitor your way of eating and not stray. And why not? It is a sensible healthy way to eat!

Nice cool weather today. Unusual for July but will take it. It is the one week birthday for my new hip!

WI day for me. 4th one. I feel good so even if numbers don't reflect I'm good! I'll check back later.

RosiePosie...You are rocking it P3! I can't wait to be there also. P2 doesn't worry me since it's so close to what we know. P3 sounds FUN. P4 scares me also. I am also stalking the maintainers' threads to try to help. I have the Beck book in my shopping cart on Amazon. Looks like I need to press "order" today!

drd1961: Your attitude about your recovery is amazing and really inspiring to me! Can you imagine trying to do this 50 lbs ago?

sgrealtor1: good luck at your weigh in!

Feeling really good today! I'll admit that I have looked at my new driver's license picture more than any NORMAL person should. It just doesn't look like me (or the old "heavy" me) anyway. I have spent the better part of 5 years AVOIDING mirrors and pictures, so it feels really weird to me.

I am going to be doing a marketing push for my practice in the next few weeks, and it is SUCH a good feeling to know I can feel confident and professional when I go visit physician's offices. I told my hubby about how I used to dread getting dressed for work because I was always picking the "least worst" option. Even just with a few thrift store pick-ups, it feels like I "GET" to pick something special out that makes me feel confident and slim.

Keep it up, friends! We can do this!

No I cannot imagine it. I thing the first thing a doctor should tell you when they tell you that you need a hip or knee replace is to lose weight. Only my endorsement was concerned about that.

Evemomma, press "buy" on the Beck book today! It is just that good. I gave a copy to my coach and she is loving it. She said it is helping her relate to some of her dieters that she previously didn't really "get."
And way to go on feeling good for your marketing push! How exciting for your practice.

I went for a walk this morning and just got back from doing some training on the Power Plate. I did a 30-second plank and it was HARD but it felt so good to accomplish it. Have a pretty quiet rest of the day as I will be home working on my sermon for Sunday.

GraceRev.....I did it! Just bought it, and it arrives on the 26th! So often, I feel like I am sharing all the things I've learned on here with my coach. So appreciative of this site. Methinks there should be some lurking coaches on here....but maybe there are?

I just looked on Amazon for the book. Seems to be a few different ones. Which book did you order?

Good Morning all!

My boss wants to take me and my coworker out to a nice lunch today and I would like to go (just substitute my lunch protein for my dinner protein). I'm just SO nervous about eating out as I haven't since the beginning of this diet a month and a half ago. I'm skimming over the Restaurant Guide threads, I just don't even know if it is worth going because I'm getting anxiety over it just thinking about it!!

I'm already looking at the menu. I'm definitely going to have to do some tweaking with some of the menu options.

Link to the Menu:

http://www.mrbsbistro.com/menu_display.php?id=2

I'm thinking about doing this one (no butter/dairy)-

STEAK TOURNEDO – Wood grilled petit four-ounce tenderloin of beef over oven roasted Yukon Gold potato rounds with mushroom brandy cream sauce ~ served with vegetable of the day (substituting steamed veggies as the side in place of the potatoes). Plus, since it's only 4oz, I can have 4 oz of protein tonight for dinner.

ETA: I emailed my coach so hopefully she sees it and responds before we leave!

Kissi: good plan. No sauce, sub OP veggies or a salad if no appropriate veggies (be sure to tell them no butter or other oils in the veggies!). Ask them not to use any oil, butter, or other added fats in preparing the meat.
