Smile Calling all June Starters!

Hello all!

I'm brand new to this forum and plan to start IP soon. I'm scheduled to go to the information seminar this Saturday morning. I'm going to either start Saturday, Wednesday or next Saturday. I'm still debating.

Anyway, I'd love to get a group going of June starters b/c support is sooo important in this journey. I need support but I also love to give support!

So...let's get to know each other!!

-Christine

There is a Newbie thread with a lot of people that started in May. There is also a May thread. And of course the Daily. So if you're feelin' lonely here, check one of those out. There are lots of new people around -- brand new and restarters. Welcome neighbour! (I'm east of T.O.)

Tcbsoc---- Yes finally!!!! Ok so you are four days ahead of me. My coach said that second day I could have headaches because of sugar withdrawal and could continue for the third day as well. Told me to take Tylenol and Advil. Did u go through something similar?

You'll find the best support group right in the day chat. We all have our different struggles but are united in the fact that were all following the same plan

Hi Bull.
Yes I definitely had a bad day or two this week. The headaches weren't too bad for me. This is my second go around on the program, so everything will settle down in a few days. I found this week that coffee caused me serious problems. I normally drink a lot of coffee, like 4/5 cups a day. I was getting this real bad headache, starvation, low blood sugar symptoms going on Wed/Thurs. Things were much better on Friday. Hang in there. You can do it. The best part is that you will lose some serious weight. This diet is no joke and it works much faster than any other diet I have used. Stick with it for a month and you will be shocked at the results. I dropped to under 200 at xmas time and then had an incredibly busy Spring. This resulted in weight gain and I was back at 226 in June (I'm 6'2 and a guy so 26 is easy to put on). I won't make this mistake again though. Stick with it!!!

Hi all. I started IP 6/20 and had my first WI yesterday. I honestly didn't feel too bad at all. I had several gatherings involving food and made it through. My best advice is to plan ahead. I now pack food just in case. I love the daily thread. People here are so inspirational and supportive. Good luck everyone!

Yeah!!! A June starters thread!!! I started June 12th and have been sticking with it 100%. I went for a long walk today and had so much energy. I held myself back from doing too much but I definitely feel like I'm going to incorporate walking into my daily routine.

The first week was tough but I don't feel like I've gone without since then. My first WI I was down 5.8 lbs and my second WI I was only down 1.2. It's my TOM so I am going to hope the small loss on week two is accounted for from that. 7 lbs in two weeks is not too shabby.

you can't be bored yet--ya just started! LOL. I just want to remind you that the first few weeks are the best. It will level out so don't be discouraged if your numbers drop. However, what a great start! You'll already be able to "feel" that 10 lbs I'm sure!
Welcome to all the June starters. It looks like you have a nice little group of people who started the same time. It's nice to see so many people each month making positive efforts for their health
