Good morning, everyone! We're having a beautiful morning here in Central IL . Just doing some shopping and hardworking today. I'm going to start making smoothies to get my veggies in each day (I love spinach but am getting tired of having it every day at lunch!). So, couple of things:

Suggestions on the best appliance to make smoothies with; blender, ninja, vitamin, etc.

Any good recipes? I'm thinking of mixing my strawberry banana remade drink with 2 cups spinach, or 1 cup spinach & 1 cup cucumber. Any tips & tricks for making good ones? Thanks!

It has been awhile since I whipped up some IP pancakes so I cracked 3 packets so I have leftovers to nuke when I'm busy this week. My "planning" wasn't as good as I thought as I ended up with SEVEN pancakes. Now how will I split THAT? LOL

Reminder to new packet hack chefs: Remember to let the dough sit a few minutes after you add baking powder, egg whites and water to any packet so batter gets fluffier/thicker. My first pancakes are paper thin but the others...mmmm... Aunt Jemima would be proud!

Good morning! Day 2 for me. Went out to dinner and to a party on day 1. They call it trial by fire I think. Went well. Thanks again for your support. Have a wonderful weekend!

Good Morning Proud Mom -- good for you for having such a successful day 1! What a great start. I hope you don't have too many symptoms but the next day or 3 will be the hardest for cravings/moodiness/energy etc. Just give fair warning to your family. By Tues you'll be in "the zone" and burning those fat cells like crazy!

Good morning everyone! Looking out at the beach drinking my coffee
I am so relieved to report that I ate low carb yesterday with only a yogurt parfait off plan. I feel so much better today!! I feel empowered that I can do this without going crazy and get right back P1 next week

Thank you! It is so much better knowing what to expect and to know it's only temporary. I will be able to power through knowing that. As for warning my family, I already did. They want to know how will they know the difference.

Starting Day 3 and getting motivated looking at all the tickers...haha. I need me one of those. Been perusing the recipes.... nice to get some ideas on how to spruce up the packet. So you are saying I can use this day 3 thing as an excuse to be a beyotch today? Awesome! lol can't wait for hubby to get home. At least he is dieting with me..... although on his own and not on IP

ProudMom - I did not find that the transition into IP was tough on my family - I was not cranky or moody, just a bit tired and sleepy occasionally.

They will all say, though, that they enjoy the "new and improved" mother and wife. As the weight has come off, I am happier, more even tempered, and have so much more energy.

It is not an understatement to say that this program has the power to change your daily life. I have determination and strength that I have not had for decades. I have fallen off and gotten back on again because I love the feeling of being in charge of my life, being happier and healthier, looking better...let's be honest. like a totally different person. I love people commenting that they do not even recognize me!

The funniest thing was that after a long day on the road picking up our son from his summer training program, I finally made it back home, late. (Stuck to the program while traveling, too!). Finally had time to go into my bathroom to take off my makeup and when I looked in the mirror, I surprised myself - I almost did not recognize me own face, it has changed so much!

A great reason to do IP!

Took me a couple of tries to figure this out too! Now I mix the batter and let it sit while I get the coffee on and put the groceries away (I'm turning into my mother and now get up early on Saturday to beat the crowds at the supermarket!).

Happy weekend everyone. I have to work the whole weekend but busy season is almost over - it's certainly been tough but I've managed to stay 100% OP despite working long hours. I've been at my goal now for the past three weeks but I'm not starting the phase off until July as I need to be able to plan and prepare and that takes time and energy but I'm nearly there!

I transitioned into IP without any problems. But if I do push off my meal I will lose it for silly reasons. I gave them all permission to ask me if I'm hungry. If I get busy with housework I won't stop even when I really need to. And every month or so, I do crash and sleep a lot. But most of the time I am full of energy
