Default Low Calorie grilled options

Next weekend we're having a family BBQ, and I'm wondering if anyone has any good sides to go with chicken breasts that we can throw on the grill or even just make separately. Usually everything we make is mayo based and of course high in calories. I don't want to miss out on the BBQ feel, but need to stick to plan. I would love to make potato salad, but I'm pretty sure that's out of the question!

This is one of my favorite lower calorie potato salad

Also, we tend to grill a ton of veggies. Portabello mushrooms, zucchini, asparagus, bell peppers, corn, green onions or eggplant.

Chuck some plain fish/shellfish on there and eat as much as you want.

This recipe is amazing - and while it's got sour cream, I'm pretty sure you could at least use a light variety:

http://a-matter-of-thyme.com/creamy-...er-dill-salad/

(If you can get access to the original one from America's Test Kitchen, all the better - but I think the above link is pretty close. It is so good...)

Otherwise, like nelie suggested, skewer some bell pepper, onion, mushroom, maybe zucchini. You can grill most any vegetable! Asparagus is amazing. Turnips are surprisingly awesome, too!

Portobello mushroom caps are fantastic grilled. You can also find great recipes for marinades or things to stuff them with.

I basically would make just about anything I want to eat - just tweak it to lower the fat/cals and add more vegetables for nutrition.

Skinnytaste memorial day recipes are great for BBQs, but www.cookinglight.com, and www.eatingwell.com have some great ideas if you search their sites.

ETA This potato salad and this macaroni salad are awesome!

Grilled romaine lettuce hearts are great. If you google you'll find lots of recipes.
