Default Need advice on Sara Lee whole grain bread and chobani yogurt

Hello everyone,
I am on IP P1 since Apr 02 and switched to IP alternative P1 since yesterday.
I went to buy some whole grain bread and saw saralee whole grain white bread so was wondering if anyone uses this whole grain white bread?

Also the protocol says unsweetened yogurt but I couldn't find any unsweetened yogurt. Chobani has 5g of sugar can I take it?

Please share what you use

I am certain they mean no sugar added as in fruits and flavors. Yogurt is dairy and dairy has naturally occurring sugars so you will always find dome amount shown!

Sorry, don't know about the bread.

How do they make a white -wholegrain bread?? Bleach?? No idea, never heard of it.
Plain low fat yogourt should have two or three ingredients only: skim or 2%milk, active bacterial cultures, and if it's Greek perhaps concentrated milk protein.
Stay away from any plain yogourt with added gelatin, or starch, fruit or sugars of any sort in the ingredient listing. Lactose is a natural milk sugar and will show up on the Nutrition Facts label without being listed on the ingredients separately, but there should be no ADDED sugar in the listing.

They aren't always easy to find - the cheaper plain yogourts will have added starch & gelatins because this is cheaper than real milk (Scumbags!!! ripping people off, and charging yogourt prices for NON-yogourt ingredients while pretending it's real yogourt)

hope this helps out...

I am also doing the IP Alternative program (the one for diabetics), and I eat the Sara Lee 45 Calories & Delightful 100% Multi-Grain Bread. It is 100% whole grain and sweetened with Stevia (and no high fructose corn syrup). I eat 1 slice a day with my eggs for breakfast, and 1 slice only has 45 calories, 6g net carbs, .5 a gram of fat, and 3 grams of protein.

The whole grain white may not be the best choice, because it has enriched bleached flour and high fructose corn syrup (yuk!).

Thanks guys. I will switch to "true" whole grain bread.
BTW, Liana and Karkrazy, did you guys exercise while on the alternative plan?

Hi Frenchy7 ... I didn't lose any weight during my weigh in after switching to alternate plan P1for the first week. But my coach did say I gained lot of muscle because of which my scale didn't move probably. Anyways hoping for the scale to move next week.

I did regular brisk walks and some Aquacize and still do, I hadn't been doing weights for a while due to arthritis and fibromyalgia issues and still am not, but may try to get back to some more resistance exercise again. It's just hard to figure a way to do it that doesn't hurt me too badly at joints. So far, the resistance of the water has worked the best for me.

I walk for 30 minutes after work when I can, but I have been losing about 3 lbs a week consistently, even when I don't exercise Sometimes exercise can cause a stall, so try it for a week and see what your results are! Just remember to take it easy and not get your heart rate up real high. Good luck!
