Default November & December Starters

Anyone else insane enough to start IP last November or December? I started the day after Thanksgiving and managed to get through the holidays on IP. My coaches were a little dubious, but hey I was really tired of the excess weight and wanted to begin the new year lighter. Does that describe you? Share your progress so far.

It has become a lifestyle now. Been through holidays, birthdays, travel, luncheons, a funeral where baked goods and comfort food enveloped my house. I think a wedding is about the only challenge I haven't faced yet. What has made it easier has been NSV stuff like finding out the dress I am wearing to work today is a 14 and I thought it was a 16 until laundry day 'cause it fit. I had not realized I picked up any other size in the store. Still can't believe it is me in the mirror. It has been so wonderful to not have the joint pain I used to experience. I don't think there is a food around that can be more satisfying than that feeling. How are you doing?

Hi Crimson,

I started the Sunday after Thanksgiving (just two days after you!) and also made it through the rest of the holidays without a problem. It was my birthday earlier this week and I just told my coach tonight that I had a bar instead of cake, as it was the only chocolate I would allow myself.

I'm glad to hear that you're having other positive effects, like the loss of your joint pain! That is fantastic! I keep hoping that at some point I will get the jolt of energy that others seem to experience, but for now, I am thrilled that I am able to keep losing! I have never had so much success on a program and now each time I lose, I get to celebrate because I am at the lowest weight I've ever been in my adult life. That feels pretty amazing every time

Hi,
I started on 11/13. I made it through Thanksgiving and Christmas. I took time off for a wedding and a trip to Napa. I think back that I would be done right now if not for those two weeks. I have 12 pounds to go and am really excited to be so close to my revised goal, plus my resolve is waning.

You're so close! You can't change what happened before, only how you move forward now! You can do it!

I started Dec 17th. My yoga pants were really stretched.
Being on a diet kept me from gaining more weight during holidays.

I'm at goal (for now) and I working on maintaining.
Pigged out last weekend so am on P1 this week.
Oh well.....

Wow, Calypso58 that is fantastic! Keep up the good work. You've done really well.

Tisado, way cool that you are on maintainence.

Hopeisallthereis, I made the IP Chocolate drink into a microwave cake on my birthday. It was legal. Got the recipe from the fun with packets thread. I ate bars during the family birthdays...except for the one in the restaurant where I started getting pressured about eating the cake so I left the table to explore the restaurant. I didn't care about the cake but I had people at the table who were food pushers and I wasn't gonna cheat.

Glad to hear there are others who started at the same time! I see posts
from people who started in other months.

Crimson,

How did you like the cake? Unfortunately, I can't have any of the products that contain artificial sweeteners, so I didn't have the option, but I've heard great things about it! What did you think?

How is everyone doing? I'm going to phase 2 for a few weeks, then a trip to Vegas, then back to phase 1 to lose my last 11 pounds (or whatever is left). I hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend!
