Default 22 Year Old Female, New Here

Hi everyone,

I'm 22 years old, female, getting ready to graduate college. For years now, I've been struggling on and off with my body image and my size, and I've recently reached a point in my life where it's something that I'm consistently thinking about. I am THOROUGHLY disgusted with myself and my weight- I really don't want to be in this place anymore. All I need to do is lose weight, and then I truly believe that I'll finally be okay- emotionally and physically.

I'm far too embarrassed to post my weight here- so I won't. But I've joined 3fc because I hope that I will be able to use this as an outlet where I can freely express my feelings and thoughts without being ridiculed or judged. My goal is simply to be thinner, to feel better about myself. And I'm hoping that I will be able to find the support that I am looking for on this site.

You will not be judged; it would actually help others help you if we knew the amount of weight you need to lose.....it makes a difference.

Hang in there.

Welcome, no need to be embarrassed about your weight. You need to know where you're at before you can start. Here is an excellent BMI calculator that will tell you where you're at and what you need to do to get to your goal weight.
http://www.webmd.com/diet/calc-bmi-plus

Some other tools to help you along would be myfitnesspal, a free and easy app that you can use with smart phones, computers, etc. that helps you keep track of the calories you're consuming during the day. You can also add sync other devices and apps to track how many steps you take in a day-like Fitbit and Jawbone Up. It's amazing what it does.

Take care--and good luck on this journey.
