BLOG: T25 - What have I gotten myself into??
Well, today was the first day to the start of my new life. Sounds cheesy right?? Well it is, but also true! My husband and I have made the decision to get off our arse and get into shape, now. We ordered T25 and did day 1 today.
Sweet Jesus it was tough! Now granted, I'm a 30 year old 300 pound new mom whose fitness level was -10. But man I was sweating within 3 minutes!!! I had to follow the modified girl in the video for the most part, I'm ok with that. It's still really tough.
First CD was cardio. It absolutely kept my heart rate up the whole time! I like how the countdown clock is visible so you know how much longer you have, and it really did fly by.
Let's see how sore I am tomorrow!! My legs were jelly for a while after the workout. It's going to be a long 10 weeks lol!!

Good luck! Take your time and work through it. You can do it.
I have the alpha videos of T25. I plan on starting next Monday. I'll definitely be doing modified. I'll do the first 30 days and see how it goes.
I'll be following this schedule.
Alpha Schedule

I also recently started the T25 and don't worry my legs felt like jello too, but after the first week or two you are able to get through them fully and then even have parts where you don't have to modify. I'm on my second round of alpha and now feel like I can the videos mostly without modifying and I've definitely always been sweating like 2 minutes in so just do what you can and your body will start getting better .

Its a two month program with an alpha set of exercises and a beta set. Alpha gets you started with the basics so then you can move to beta then eventually gamma(which is not included). It is a mix of cardio, stretching, and strength training as you have to back able to hold the weight of your body up in the abs workout. It doesn't require any extra equipment and is intense for the full 25 minutes. It cost about 120 through beachbody but you can definitely snag it of amazon or eBay. Just be quick if you see a good deal. I had 3 if them disappear before I could get them. Also I got lucky with an alpha beta gamma set for 80 bucks slightly used. But I knew I liked the system so I went for it.

Well, workout day 2 was a success!!! This one was "speed 1.0", and it was nice because you had mini breaks of stretching (which for me meant it gave me a few seconds to peel myself off the ground). Again, workout went fast which is the best part! Hubby did awesome, we encouraged each other the whole time! I'm following the girl who does the modified version for now as I get used to working out.
Now, excuse me while I go wipe up the floor of my sweat lol.

I did try this a few weeks ago doing the modified cardio. It was tough but I liked it. My problem is that my house is crazy full and i don't want to work out in front of anyone and no basement The other problem is school + work doesn't leave a lot of time. I'm giving up excuses though and starting tomorrow I'm gonna give it some effort!

I totally get it! I wouldn't want to work out in front of people too! Our schedule can he hectic as well, we've even crossed our fingers and hoped our 7 month old son would sit long enough to let us workout, thankfully he did! He did also laugh hysterically as we were jumping around lol. You do what works for you! Even 15 mins of something is better than no minutes.

I missed a day, so I'm doubling up today! This am I did Abs. A few exercises were super tough I really had to modify them but I pulled through! It was hard!! I think there were a few times I told Shawn T exactly where he can go lol.

Just did W1D1 Cardio. Modified and I had to stop for two 1 minute breaks, but I got through it. My heart rate is up and I'm sweating. This is really hard, but I'm hoping to have the willpower to continue on.

I have to say I went to do T25 and my body was so tired or something that I couldn't even finish this time and I've been using these for a while. So still not gonna get discouraged though and try to pick them when my body feels ready. I hope the workouts are going well for everyone else

Way to go Psychic!! I've had to taken a mini break too, it's either that or I fall over lol. Cardio is a great (but tough!) workout, just wait until you get to abs! Sweet lord!! Even though I'm a large person I've had a pretty strong core and I found it super tough! It is a good workout though.
Gaarasslave, do what your body allows! Don't over exert yourself because you may hurt yourself which completely defeats the purpose of doing this. I've even had to modify what the girl already modifying the workout was doing, and I didn't feel bad!! Because at the end of the day I'm doing a heck of a lot more than what I was a week ago.
