Sudden stomach ailment and IP
Grrr! Help, I had a cold last week, been fine and suddenly about 2 hours ago, right after I got back to work after my WI, bam it hit me. My stomach started gurgling, cramping, hurts and now I have the two usual culprits of a stomach problem. This is where the impossible comes in, I just want some 7up and soup to calm my stomach.. what do you do in this case? How do I combat a stomach problem and stay OP.

You can have fat free chicken broth! Heat that up and have some herbal tea.
Feel better!

I don't no, my coach says absolutely no soda period. I could try ginger tea, and I tried chicken broth but really wanting the crackers and chicken noodle soup lol. I'm trying to talk myself down from the verge of disaster!

Lots of good suggestions have been given
We can WANT something different and not have it. As Beck diet reminds me, the wanting is not an emergency.
If I'm sick and eat off-plan, then I have two problems

THis is ridiculous, it doesn't matter what I eat or drink it doesn't stay in my body. The thought of having my IP shake or any other IP food right now makes my stomach turn (worse than it already is) tea is doing ok, but ug!

My DH had it for about 36 hours
He did propel, broth, & tea until those would stay down. I got him some seltzer water but he ended up not drinking it.
I made him some jello at one point (IP-friendly would be made with plain, unsweetened koolaid, Knox unflavored gelatin, & Splenda)
He's a low carber (not as low as IP) but everything he had woulda worked on IP. If the food won't stay down, you obviously can't eat it.
When he added "food" back in, it happened slowly. The comfort foods we've been given in the past aren't necessary. When either of us have been sick like this, we've done it without past comforts, because we know those items really aren't good for us.
Sleep a lot! I got him some pepto pills.
The D part of it has hung on longer, but at least he could eat again after a day or so!
No carbs will fix it. Stick with the fluids until the tummy settles.
So sorry!

Get LOTS of water/tea so you don't dehydrate. My coach let me have Snack Pack brand sugar free jello (made with Sucralose) when I had a stomach bug and again when I had to prep for a colonoscopy. It has a couple carbs and 5 calories, but in this situation, it won't really be much of an issue!

Oh wow. I've never seen jello sweetened with Sucralose! Good to know!
In this situation, when you're not eating much, the minimal carbs are a non-issue (0/0/0 has never included calories so those don't matter here either).
So good to know about that jello, if necessary
