No weight lost this week
I did have a rather heavy dinner last night. But I do notice significant changes with my body so I'm just hoping it was the heavy dinner giving me grief. I weighed exactly the same as last week but I'm thinking it could be water weight..hopefully. But I'm not going to let it get me down. I see changes and that's important.

It probably is just water weight if you've been on-plan. Your weight can fluctuate up or down a couple pounds just on water, so if you weighed at a 'low-water' point last week and a 'high-water' point this week, the water could be disguising a couple pounds of fat loss. Honestly, that's why I weigh every single day - lets me see if I'm trending up or down so that I don't worry about any one specific number.

Yeah I have been on plan for sure! (Not counting the dinner) but I've been working my butt off and eating very well all week.
So I was a little disappointed this morning. Usually just like to weigh once a week but when this happens I'm thinking maybe I should weigh to see the fluctuations.
Maybe I'll weigh tomorrow and see what it says then.

Same here abetterme!! I've been doing well for the past few days, I did have one cheat snack cake but that was on monday (but i was still in my calorie range for the day), anyone know how long it takes to get rid of water weight? Assuming you don't change your exercise or eat excess sodium can you still carry a lot of water weight?

The thing you have to remember is that this is for life. I've been having an awesome past couple months, almost unbelievable where I'm losing 4-5 lbs per week but then this last week was falling flat. I lost but I had to do a reality check with myself to say that I couldn't have expected to keep going at the rate I was going.

I can fluctuate up to 15 pounds with water, and things like muscle soreness, different exercises, lack of sleep, can affect getting rid of it. Be patient!

If you have a heavy meal the evening before a weigh in, that often results in some temporary increase in weight.

Yeah, I wish I really thought about what I was asking. Of course I would gain temporary weight.
I'm going to continue to carry on. Have not weighed again yet though but I'm sure I'll see a change some time.
Thanks for the responses, everyone. Much appreciated!

You seeing changes is the most important next to fat loss. I'm surprised now that I'm dieting again just how long it's taking to lose a pound. I thought it would be faster and that I would see it sooner. I guess I had just totally forgotten.
The rate I'm going, it's going to be July before I go from wearing a size 18 jeans to a size 16.........geez

Yeah, it took me like 3 weeks to lose the 1.5 lbs. Slowww process. We can do it though.

Whenever I get worried I've indulged a bit too much, I eat really cleanly for several days afterwards. That makes my weight go back down, whether because I gained from eating too much or because it was all sodium-retention.
I've noticed that even when I eat a ton of green veggies instead of a ton of processed foods and the calorie-count is the same, my weight decreases on the veggies and stagnates or increases on the processed foods. Hence, eating cleanly doesn't mean eating less, just eating cleanly.

Tomorrow's my official weight in and I don't think I will have lost any either. While it's disappointing, I won't let it get to me.
