I HATE my scale. It's better than my old one because it's much more accuaret, but i just hate it. The 3 times I got on today, i got 3 different readings. All at least a lb different than the others.
Anyone have a great scale that they love??? What kind is it??
I dont have tanita scales but i have heard ALOT of poeple have them and really like them. I would not suggest getting ones with the body fat analysis because they dont always work. My mom has some scales with the body fat analizer and it still says BMI is like 50! And i know that is wrong. Plus the fluctuate in like 5 minutes up to 3 percent bosy fat.
Do you mean, you stepped on the scale three times at the same time of the day and you got different readings?
The one I have is EKS brand, I think. If I step on at the same time, I get the same reading, always. I'm quite happy with it. But I got it in Canada at Canadian Tire, so I don't know if it will be available down there.
I bought a sunbeam beam scale and I love it. It is the "dr. office quality" and it never lies. I had a digital one, but it kept screaming "get off, your hurting me", so I had to get rid of that one!!!!
Sandi - I have a digital Denise Austin scale. I bought it about four months ago at either Wal-Mart or K-Mart. I think I paid around $40 for it. So far, it's been great - very consistent.
Mine is the denise austin scale from walmart for like 20 bucks and mine is consistent but i didnt get it until i weighes less than 250 and i had alot of trouble with scales when i was close to 300. But i have never had trouble with these scales.
Gosh, after I sawe Dr. Phil on Monday....I have been obsessed with finding a good scale. So, I just bought mine, last night as a matter of fact, on Amazon. It is one of those Tanita scales and body fat scales for like 60 bucks!!!!! ANd it records and saves your personal info...and I beleive it goes up to 300 pounds. Chek em out!!!
Well...I dont know if you are familiar with his weightloss challengers that he picked to do his weightloss program. Anyway, on Monday, he had a check in....and to see how everyone is doing after 4 months. There was some amazing results...of course the men have lost more than the woman (those male metabolisms...aarrrgggg) Anyhoo, they were showing the challengers weighing themselves on thse GREAT scales that printed out there body fat and actual weight etc. Well, come to find out, the scales that they were using were a professional grade tantia...and I did found them on line at the tune of $1,500. Well...since that is way out of my price range, and really not what I needed, so I settles on a different scale, made by the same company. BTW, I got free shipping.
I replaced my 20+ scale with one from wal mart. My only compplaint is the numbers(or my 40 + year old eye sight) The 5# increments are large enough to see but the 1# are very small. Didin't think it would be an issue when I picked it off the shelf LOL.
After my best friend and I had dinner last night, it was too early to go home so she indulged me in a little scale shopping. I was pretty set on a Tanbita, but didn't want the fat measuring kind. Well, we went to bed, bath and beyond and that's the only kind they had. They had a $30.00 model, a $60.00 model and a $80.00 model. So of course I always think the more expensive the better. My friend says she has the $30.00 model and loves it, but I am leaning towards the $60.00 model partly becuase it goes up to 330 lbs and the other one only goes to 300. Then I realize that the samples have batteries, so we take to trying them out. Right there in the store, me, all 294 lbs of me, starts trying out scales. She's a skinny mini, so it'd interesting to see how they work for both of us. Turns out the $30.00 one was much better! It didn't cycle on me and gave me the same reading each time! SOLD!! And I had a 20% coupon, so I only paid about $26.00 for it!!
I tried it out this morning and I love it. I think it may weigh amybe a lb or so heavier, but I am happy!
