Default New to Atkins

I'm giving Atkins a try again. I tried years ago and it was so hard for me because I love bread and do not like many vegetables. I'm 31 and have yo-yoed back and forth most of my life. Hopefully this will change that. I am going to stick with it this time.

TOPAZ! Glad you have joined us on this journey! I too, am not a fan of veggies... but reading these posts from the others in this section.. well I just might try that Cauliflower (otherwise I am a lettuce/green bean only person) Just remember to take some fiber tablets if you are not eating veggies. You can do this... it does get easier every day and it gets easier to live every day feeling lighter and healthier!

You could do worse than the south beach diet. You don't have to eat bread. I like the way it has phases. There's a good description of it as sticky in that forum.

I also picked up a book the other day called "Don't quit sugars" I was intrigued because i'm quitting sugar, but Idiscovered by sugars she meant carbs. All carbs are not sugars. But it turns out the diet pretty much excludes all the sugars that i find problematic anyway.

Topaz I'm doing atkins again also....it's the only thing that really worked for me. I dread induction because I hate brain fog...but It's temporary...

I think once I get past the first 2 weeks I will be okay. I'm trying to find different types of lettuce that I can actually eat. I am not a lettuce person, the texture makes me gag. So far I've found baby spinach and an herb mix I bought don't seem too bad. Otherwise green beans and carrots are the veggies I actually enjoy. I'm hoping to make myself like others.
