Default Where do you buy your plus size clothing?

Where do you buy your plus size clothing? I am in a 3x and am having the hardest time finding nice blouses and shirts. I am BIG, I do not want shirts with BIG flowers, prints, etc. I am almost 55, I do not want to dress like I am 25! I am FAT I do not want a shirt that is short, I do no want my cleavage showing either! Really who designs these clothes?! Any help would be greatly appreciated. God Bless.

Tammy, Do You have a Pennington's or Addition Elle where you are? You can google them online and shop online if its easier. They have the nicest clothes and they are not old ladies clothes. I am 58 and have gone from a size 3x to a 1 -2x depending on the clothes. They are very comfortable as well

Land's End, J.Jill, and Eddie Bauer all have very conservative plus size clothes. The quality is what you'd expect for the price.

Lately, I've been shopping at the Dress Barn. They have some lovely, plus size clothing for good prices.

I love J.Jill clothing. They have sizes from small to 3X, and they are well made.

Thank you all SO much for the informtion. We live on the Bayou and have to go to the city like New Orleans or Houma if we want to go to a store like the ones listed above.
Chinookgirl congratulations on the weight loss!!!

My biggest complaint is with the ugly material they use for the plus size clothes. Why can't they use the same material they use for the misses sizes and just make them bigger?

QVC has a lot of nice plus size clothes too. Always check the measurements on their site though, I know sometimes depending on the brand the 3x's are more like 4x's, the 2x's more like 3x's, and so on.

Yeah, I think there were 3 or 4 years when everything with an X size only came in animal skin prints. I don't think I've ever wanted to dress like a zoo animal, although some people do look good in animal prints

Tammy - QVC, online & TV, has a line called Denim & Co. that is excellent. (It's not all denim.) They also have Liz Clairborne with big sizes. There are lots of other designers there, but those are the two I like and buy. If online, check "fashion brands" and you can see them all. They require designers to make large sizes as well as small to appeal to the widest audience.

There's a weekly Denim & Co. show on Tuesdays from 11-12, if you want to set your DVR for it.

Walmart used to have White Stag clothing that went to 4X. I don't know if they still do.
