S/C/G: Peak 300/Restart 270/Goal 130

Height: 5'4.5'

Default Week 1 - Minus 9lbs, Week 2 - Nothing...

Has that happened to any one else? I am eating the same, definitely staying in the 12-15 carbs limit. Keto sticks are pink. Just a bit frustrated but not going to stop. I guess I get spoiled with seeing results and I like instant gratification.

It is making me a bit crazy.

It is quite normal to stall in the second or third week after the water whoosh is done... have patience!

Agreed for some it stops or slows a lot in the second and third week and then tend to level out to 1-2 lbs a week after that. Just remember you body is still adjusting to this huge change you are making.

Thank you both!! I was worried I wasn't doing this right or that there was something wrong with me... my brain went into 20 different directions with it!

I've seen somewhere online that typically the first 4 weeks of low carb dieters ends up at the same point of losing about 10% of what you need to lose (so more for bigger people, less for smaller). But some will lose a lot really fast then have weeks of no losses, some will take a while to lose anything, and some will lose moderate amounts but consistently.

I think keeping this is mind is a great way to commit yourself to sticking to the program for those critical first weeks (when most people give up!).

Your results are fine - but if you're worried you're done doing this right, feel free to post your menus here, there always things we can tweak and improve.

I am just curious what kind of exercising you are doing also? I know for me if I don't exercise much in induction I see a steady decline on the scale but if I do I see it more in inches rather than the scale.

Kat, it sounds like you're definitely in the three week stall. Ths is the time so many get discouraged and give up, only to regain and have to start again. 9 is fabulous!!!!

Kat... You are doing GREAT!.. I also read somewhere.. that as we lose fat.. Hormones are released and sometimes.. well.... that just might also stall your loss.... Track your Lbs losses over the next 8 weeks or so and see if there are some weeks that you lose alot more than others and other weeks where you stop (Happens to me as I have charted it over a year now)... That will also keep your mind from going Wakkadoodle thinking you are doing something wrong, when its your body and the hormones (and maybe that ugly sodium intake too LOL) ... Just stick with it and you WILL see!
