Default 100 Days of Water Challenge

Hello everyone! I am challenging myself to kick my soda habit. To do that I've decided to go 100 days drinking only water. No fruit juice. No tea. No sodas. Just water.

I absolutely cannot stand the aftertaste or flavor of diet soda. I don't like artificial sweeteners because of the aftertaste and flavor. Yuck! So drinking diet soda just isn't an option for me. I admit I am completely addicted to Fanta orange and caffeine free Coke. Those two things have been a rather big contributor to my weight problem. If I can kick the soda habit I will take a big step toward success!

Yesterday I went the entire day drinking nothing but water with my food. Good job! Today's Day 2 of water for me.

If anyone wants to join me in ridding your body of calorific beverages, you are more than welcome! Or if you want to just share some support for a chick who will beat the soda habit you are welcome here too!

I complete Day 2 of my challenge! Even though my daughter had a Sprite today I didn't even sip it. It's definitely a step towards my goals!

Although I've given up Soda, sometimes I still have club soda for the 'fizz' with a twist of lemon. I drink one cup of tea in the morning and the rest of the day water. Although, I must admit, i don't drink nearly enough of it. So 'bravo' to you for taking up this challenge! Take it one day at a time. Small changes in your lifestyle will become natural habits after a while and you won't even miss it.

Great idea for a challenge!

I will definitely try, too. I used to be addicted to diet soda until about two years ago. My health improved (non-weight symptoms) after ditching all that aspartame, but then I just went back to drinking full sugar soda, instead. Granted, I don't drink nearly as much as I used to, but I would still love to kick the soda habit completely.

I will try to not drink any sugar drinks for 100 days. My coffee with cream is non-negotiable right now, so other than that, I will try to drink only pure water or carbonated water with lemon and stevia.

Blessings,

J.

I'm in! I will keep my unsweetened tea, but only water otherwise! I know soooo many of my daily calories come from soda!

Hi and welcome folks! How excited I am to know that there are others out there who want to break the sugary beverage habit too!

Today begin Day 6 of my challenge. I am honestly doing very well! I can say that this definitely gets easier as time goes on. I still fight the urge to take a sip of any soda my daughter has but it really does get easier as the days pass.

I wish I could join, but that would mean not drinking wine!

Laceyj, that's right.

Today begins Day 10 of my challenge! I am actually doing well. We even went to Taco Bell for dinner last night and when I got a combo meal I filled up that 32 oz. cup with water, not root beer. Yay!

How are you all doing?

Great job, CourtneyDaisey!

I'm doing pretty well, too. I haven't had any soda, but I did have a dream that I had a 7-11 Big Gulp of Coke. I woke up so disappointed in myself until I realized that it was a dream!

Why do you have to give up tea and other non soda drinks? I know its great to drink water but tea and coffee are good low cal things. I don't have sugar in my tea and coffee. Its not that hard to get used to.

I'm still drinking coffee with cream! Just trying to kick the soda habit.

Today is Day 16 and I am still going strong! WOO HOO! It's extremely hard right now because it's that time of the month and I'm seriously craving a Fanta orange. But we don't have any in the house and I'm not buying any.

Good job resisting! I'm around that same time of the month and had to resist soda today, too. I didn't succumb, either! Yay!
