Talking Mood Lightener! What is your Favorite Holiday Movie/TV Show?

Ok since I feel grumpy and cranky and all that jazz I thought it would be fun to list your favorite tv/movies for the holidays even if you celebrate them or not so list them if you got 'em!

Mine are:

Charlie Brown (all thanksgiving and xmas ones)
Phineas and Ferb Christmas special
Prep and Landing
Prep and Landing Naughty vs. Nice
The Polar Express
The Grinch (animated one)
Garfield
I love the Nut Cracker Ballet
A very Brady Christmas

I know I am missing some but maybe you guys and add them!

My kids laugh at me because I have the Christmas music going well in November - it puts me in such a great mood. I grew up in a time when we still sang Christmas carols together with my parents as my Mom played the piano, so I guess that it really harks back to then. Great memories!

For me, the movie White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye just hits all the right notes. The costumes, the music and the singing to the General, when all break out in "We'll Follow the Old Man Wherever He May Go" - tears, tears!

As far as books, we have read the Polar Express to the kids ever since they were little. When they marry and have children, a copy will go with them. I love the part about the only ones who hear the bell are those who still believe.

Great thread, thanks!

The last three of these four are my favs, too! I could watch Elf every day. I am really trying to wait till at least Thanksgiving before I throw it in the DVD player.

Don't forget the original Miracle on 34th Street! As for the tv shows, I love the cartoon Grinch most of all.

And I absolutely HATE getting stuck with the Hallmark christmas shows. I end up doing NOTHING.. ALL day!! They are corny and I can't turn them off once I turn them on..lol
