Default Making turnip fries for first time and need tips!

I've never eaten a turnip in my life but want to try these. I am seeing SO many different ways of making them...different spices, soaking in water w/Splenda. Some say they have a peppery taste and many say they are not crunch enough.

What is your recipe and/or tip for getting these to turn out good? Thanks!

I love turnips!!
I dice them up, toss them with a bit of olive oil and a touch of salt, and then put them in a 400-degree oven for 30-45 minutes, until they brown up.
They're kind of crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside.
They're delicious cold the next day, too!

This sounds delicious and I'd like to make them too, thanks for passing this on. Question: Do you have to peel the turnip or do you just dice them with skin on?

Dicing them is probably a better way to make them chispier. I never thought of that.

I peel them, leaving just a little of the purple skin on, because I love colorful food.
