Happy Birthday and YEP I lived there for the 1st 28 years of my life! GORGEOUS City! Gotta go shopping at Watertower place... The Art Institute is fun... but really 2 days worth... They have the T - Rex Susie at the field museum and my favorite is the Adler planetarium (Astronomy) it sticks out into the lake..... If you can get tickets to Second City or a Cubs game.. it is worth it! (Bleachers at Cubs).. but try and get to the lake as Lake MIchigan should be up to the low 70's and just a great place to sit and enjoy. Shopping on Michigan Ave is good... tho going out to the Burb's can get you better bargains. A day trip driving up Lake Shore to Sheridan Ave north to Lake Forest.. you see alot of HUGE houses along the lake front. FOOD.. Greek town is FUN FUN FUN. But I sorta don't want to tell you about all the great (GREAT) burgers, dogs and the bestest Italian Beef Sandwiches and not to even say... Pizza.... The air is wonderful and sweet and the people are NICE! JEALOUS here! Have a WONDERFUL Birthday and a great trip!

Hubby and I spent a few days there doing some paperwork. We stayed at the Ramada right by the lake. It was a beautiful old hotel, and there was an amazing restaurant on the same property. Amazing Prime Rib, and Chicken.

Happy birthday! I haven't been there yet, but I suspect it's a popular location for a reason. I hope you have a great time!

I live here!

Lunch on the 95th floor of the Hancock Building is a must! The Signature Room offers incredible views! The lunch menu is affordable when you factor in the view. (Many people spend $28.00 for the observation deck)

Millenium Park always has something going on. Must see the Bean!

There's also a free trolley that runs from Navy Pier to State Street. You can google the route - jump on anywhere and ride in circles! Great way to see the city.

Have a great time!

Thanks so much everyone!!!
I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself! I've been there once, last October, but I was there with my job at the time so I got to do very minimal sight seeing! I'm at the point where I just want to move there and never leave, I think I was always meant to be a city girl!!
Thanks for the birthday wishes also!
