If you can't find what you're looking for in this forum using the website search function, try using the "double search" using Google.

1) Go to Google.com. Search 3fatchicks by using the term site:3fatchicks.com at the end of your Google search.

Good morning IPers. Thanks Lisa for putting this thread up bright and early every morning! I woke up a little early thanks to some weird dreams, IP hasn't given me food dreams but I do get more weird ones than ever. Wishing everyone a successful day.

I'm glad someone is sleeping well
Return to Ketosis has me hot flashing in my sleep and it's waking me up. At least I'm warm I guess. Conversely, the thyroid probs made me cold all the time!

Went to bed late after watching extra innings last nite and woke up @ 4. We are going to the Cardinals game tonite. Gonna be a LONG day.

NSV: popped some tags yesterday for some Fall clothes. Got 4 pairs of pants, several tops and a jacket, all Talbots, Chicos, Jones New York brands. I have skipped a size. I'm wearing 16s now. 14s were fitting so I bought 12s, which zip but are snug. I always marvel when people my height/weight wear smaller sizes. Hourglass means I gotta fit bigger hips/bust. Anyway, price tag was under $80 for all of these great deals.

These brands will consign easily if I get smaller, too. One pair of JNY pants had original tags - never worn! AND I got a new-to-me Cardinals Tshirt for the game tonite. Mine is wayyyyyyy too big.

Good morning! I appreciate the super early postings as well!
I was down another pound this morning & all seems to be on track!
I made rutabaga fries the other night & they were delicious!! I wanted to try jicama, but I didn't have time to go to a fruit stand & they didn't have any at wal mart. one day! Keep up the greatness everyone!

Made goal this morning! would like to have gone two more pounds to account for the few bouncebacks in P3, but I need to get moving since I am transitioning a bit early because of upcoming European cruise. So off to see my coach this morning and am going to have my first breakfast in a few minutes. Who knew you could get so exvited over yogurt and a banana?

Crystal, I have had really active and weird dreams the entire time I have been in ketosis. Not going to miss that at all. If only I could calories with my nocturnal adventures!

Congratulations on hitting goal! So happy for you!

Lisa, WTG on the new clothes. It is awesome to get such great deals, especially on brand new items....and in such small sizes! I would be grinning all day!

Woke up with a killer headache this morning. Did not get all my salt yesterday, maybe that's why.

Went to dinner with friends last night. Restaurant did not have a posted menu. Crossed my fingers and luckily they had steak and veggies. Ate my garden salad dry after picking off the shredded cheese. Steak was 12 oz! Ate small amount, but it was not a good one. Picked through the veggies and had a few bites of broccoli, peppers, and asparagus; not nearly 2 cups, and most likely cooked in butter which I tried to wipe off. Got home too late to eat more veggies, but managed to get my last unrestricted by having a protein drink. Stayed up way too late, to avoid going to bed too soon after having it.

Dinner was more of an ordeal than anything. It seemed so stressful picking at everything, and trying to field questions about my diet, which made me feel defensive for no good reason. We ate on the patio and the place was swarming with bees, which seemed mostly attracted to my undercooked steak! Did I say I am terrified of bees! Ended up getting a charlie horse in my back and my neck is tight. Might explain my headache. Lol.

(Sigh)....it's a new day. I don't know why dinner bummed me out so much last night. I think sometimes it is just exhausting explaining myself to friends who are curious about IP. It is nothing to do with them, but sometimes makes me feel like I am being interrogated. The most common thing I hear is whether I have to eat like this forever. I always try to say that the diet will end, but "yes" I will be making healthy choices from now on.

Sorry this is so long winded. Just needed to vent this morning. Haven't done so for a while. It is nice having a place to do so, where there is understanding.

I know what you mean about dinners out being almost torture. Had one of those last week. I always have a bar in my bag so I can sneak off to the bathroom ( how ridulous does that sound) to eat it in peace so at least I m not starving and make bad choices.

As you said, today is a new day, so just put on your smaller big girl britches and go for it!

Dak1lls sorry your dinner wasn't more fun. Going to dinner is hard and friends can make it harder. I met my friends for dinner one night and did not even eat. I ate before I left home and just ordered a garden salad that I slowly ate. My friends are dessert people so I also brought a bar with me that I slowly ate with my decaf coffee when dessert came. Good for you through you stayed OP in a difficult situation!!!

Good morning to all!

Great news here, DH and I weighed last night and I'm down a little over 2lbs. I'm officially out of the 300's!! What a weird thing to get excited about, but I'm trying to not get overwhelmeed by the amount yet to go.

I've made a plan to change from being STARVING all the time, to more in line with the info Lisa gave me yesterday, and have packed plenty of packets, a bar, and a RTD for today, and had a yummy breakfast of eggs. YUMM!!!

Dak1lls - That stinks!! I can only imagine how disappointing that must be. Hopefully the company helped a little?

Hoping everyone has a great day! Humpday! Halfway through the week! Yay!!

Good morning all!

SV for me this morning....I weigh in every morning, though my official WI with my coach is Thursday nights. On my scale this morning, I hit the 170's for the first time in 9+ years...granted, it said 179.9, so I know it's going to yo-yo between that and the 180's for a few more days, but it was just so great seeing that number! I haven't been in the 170's since I was pregnant with my oldest. Very excited!

Hope everyone is having a great week, both OP and otherwise.

LOL, a few months back, ALL food commercials annoyed me mightily. I don't really notice them as much now. HUGE congrats on getting under 300! For some reason, that is extra satisfying to me -- makes it seem more official.

The last time we went out for dinner, we tried a new microbrewery. The menu wasn't very easy to navigate as they seemed to throw carmelized onions and some variation of beer on everything. I finally settled on a plain burger with none of their toppings on it, just tomato, onion, and lettuce. This wasn't offered on their menu, so I had to do a lot of talking with the waitress. I let her bring the bun, because I felt weird enough having to reassure her several times that I didn't want their beer-cheese sauce and no caramelized onions, etc. When she brought it, she put it down in front of me and said, "Just how you wanted it??? . . . But does that look good, though?" And she had this disgusted and exasperated look on her face. That ticked me off royally. And, yes, it looked very good to me . . . once I removed the bun, put mustard on it, and ate it with a fork! LOL

I am down 3.5 this week, yipppeeeee!! I was quite moody this week, so I was hoping for a good weigh in. Funny, now that I'm on IP, when I snap at my husband or my son is really on my last nerve, I think to myself . . . 'maybe a good weigh in!'
