My doctor told me at my physical last week that he thinks I may have PCOS, considering that I have every symptom of it. After extensive bloodwork and uncomfortable ultrasounds for the last few days everything has come back normal. I had a normal ultrasound, pap and bloodwork. Normal thyroid also, the only thing my bloodwork revealed was that my fasting blood sugar indicated pre diabetes. That was another link of symptoms, insulin resistance.
My greatest concern is that I have all of the symptoms and high blook sugar, yet my doctor is telling me he can't explain my symptoms at this time.
Anyone else had any similar issues or ideas?

Well... it's a cluster of symptoms, a syndrome, not a disease.

And we present in at least 5 ways so it's hard to pin down.

Which presentation do you think you are? I'm a syndrome X type.

I'm the non-traditional PCOS, the first one.
Yesterday my doctor decided to go ahead and put me on metformin, at the very least to try to get my sugar under control.
